Not sure how new this is, but some races now have a different starting jingle (and ending one too, when you cross the line but before the results screen). I believe the Race of Turbo Sportscars at Fuji is one of them. Or is it because I have the Power Pack, and that "unlocks" new jingles?

The 450 PP FF challenge at Autopolis short had the usual start and end jingle though. Maybe it's newer races they've retrofitted it to?

They've been like that since launch (or when the events come out) - some just have different theming than others. Don't think they've changed any.
Can't remember which it is but there's a couple that have a GT3 style camera rotation on the car before the race starts. @hyperspeed980 will probably know.

As far as I can tell, It seems WTC events and anything similar appear to share the same theme while others have different ones (Some even seem to alternate starting jingles from my experience).

Ahh okay. I hadn't done the Race of Turbo Sportscars one at Fuji until now so that might be why. It was the first time hearing it though from memory and I'd done the whole campaign at launch. So maybe it's post-launch content? Unless I just forgot about it. Also I didn't know about the GT3 rotation! That's very cool.
