It's more a priority to have higher payouts in custom races than better AI right now.
allora... talking about custom races... and just a personal wish.. by organising my own championship I am assigning points on finish so credits and payout not relevant to me... instead having true and challenging races with unpredictable results that would be a real game changer...

Those of you disappointed by the car choices also need to consider that this is the VR update. So PD may have prioritized cars that look especially stunning when driven in VR (wood, metals, chrome, etc.). Cannot say the same for the average car interior dominated by dark plastics, while that can also be charming in its own strange way.

What do you even mean by this? You can do that, and have been able to do so for months, it was added somewhere near launch.
It should've launched with the ability sure, but it's disingenuous to keep spreading disdain towards the developers for "still" not having a feature that's actually in the game.

You can even download ghosts from uploaded replays in the Showcase, and chase them.

We this is bizarre.

I just checked it and I have nada. My ghost setting dialogue hasn't changed and I don't have the "load ghost" option. I cleared cache and still nothing, so I will start a reinstall.

So I will stand corrected on that point since, obviously, you have it functioning on your side.

As for the rest, my disdain holds.

Edit, this might also explain why I can't load GT7 if I had any other game running previously. I would have to start GT7, wait for it to hang, close GT7, and then restart.

Actually, there's 4+ possibilities:

-1 Stock (maybe with the addition of reversible parts like tyres, turbos, wings, skirts, etc)
-1 Fully Tuned (literally everything you can buy to upgrade it)
-1 Fully Tuned but without the widebody (Top Speed version basically, since the widebody is non reversible and it creates drag on top speed runs)
-1 For an engine swap
-1 For an engine swap with no widebody (Top Speed)
Oh yeah, I forgot about engine swaps.

So that adds 2 more for me :
1 engine swapped without any mods on the engine but fully modded everywhere.
1 engine swapped fully tuned and full bolt on.

Damn I definitely need help.

Meh, I have multiple versions (all in different colors) of my favorite cars at various states of tune.

I'm disappointed that GTSport single player handicap bonus hasn't been brought over. It is a legitimate reason to play single player and another aspect of difficulty. Not to mention that it creates MUCH more degree of difficulty challenge. It's why I am still unclear what aspect of GT7's SP is considered better than GTS.

It should even be carried over to Sport Mode with more street car racing. Let me race with underpowered cars and allow me to succeed without the need for a win. It's one of the aspects of lobby racing that is so engaging.

Many people are, but I fail to see what it has to do with my comment or this thread.

For those questioning multiples of one car, if I wish to recreate certain real life races, the drivers and their vehicles, I’ll need more than one car. Such as the 1973 Daytona 24H.
Sure, I could just have one of each and keep assigning the same Brumos livery Porsche to each Porsche AI. However, if I’m a player that wants to make it look somewhat accurate to the real race, I’ll apply the various team liveries to the multiples of those cars.

Imagine PD releases an update that allows you to give the same car multiple liveries in custom grids. Some of you will be tens of millions down the drain.

I can expand the topic:
-1 stock, in case it is a race car will get all the upgrades since there are no permanent one and upgrades are needed to make a race build
-1 for engine swap(there’s only 55 in the game) and the same car will receive all needed upgrades
-1 tuned in case I use that special card for some event or event series

So for most of the cars I got 1, for sport cars I race and. Engine swaps I got 2. For very few cars(mini, beat, cappuccino,…) I got 3

Up to now I got 410 out of 454 available cars and counting…

Adding another complaint about the roulette tickets. I've gotten the lowest value item every day now for over two weeks straight. Frickin ridiculous....

Hoping one of these dang updates will adjust the odds accordingly.
adjust them how..? so you get no free gift at all due to all the complaining about your past free gifts not being good enough for you?

Nope, look closer and you'll see chrome mirrors and bumpers, thus the 2.7 Carrera RS.
I feel like it's hard to tell on my end, but I believe you. Could be a real neat addition, IMO, as are all the other cars. As far as Citroen goes, I'm hyped they may be adding the DS, so I feel like all that's left is the 2CV as far as essential Citroen models go. After that, I'm personally hoping for the SM.

@Voodoovaj original ghost comment reminded me of a problem I have with GT7. Why doesn't the game remember your lap time data anymore during qualifying? What's the point of giving you splits and optimal times if they disappear each time you restart a lap? This info was always there even when you switched cars. I can't believe they haven't addressed this yet. Another thing I would like to see return is the ability to set a reverse grid in lobbies. I know it can be done manually, but PITA.

It can’t? And they even talk about in the game how unique it is that a car like this drove in rally’s. That’s not cool.

I know it sounds weird, but maybe on a track?
If you don't have the car to certify, it's in the Hagerty garage today, but it's already sold out.

I'll be happy with any classic 911, but hoping the update is the 2.8 RSR rather than a 2.7. And if it is the 2.7, hope it's the Lightweight version and not Touring.

Now, here's a caveat. I think in one of the videos I posted, it mentions a mirror on the right hand side. That would make it a Japan model. If that's a mirror on the right hand side of the silhouette, we may be getting a RHD model. Not sure many would be happy with that. Doesn't bother me, but will be interesting if it's RHD.

It's already been confirmed as the Honda RA272.

Nope, look closer and you'll see chrome mirrors and bumpers, thus the 2.7 Carrera RS.
The 2.7RS has integrated painted bumpers unlike the chrome bumpers of the silhouette also it’s supposed to have a single square (flag) wing mirror on the drivers side only but the silhouette has a circular (Durant) wing mirror on what looks like the passengers side. This car looks more like a 1971 911E or maybe PD modelled it from a non standard restored 2.7 R/S.

Well, at least the pack isn't just 3 cars again; maybe 4-5 is the new standard. At least I hope so, definitely looking forward to the 911 Carrera RS. It'll be kinda neat having that in the same racing game next to the 964 Carrera RS, I think the only racing game that had both last time was probably NFS Porsche Unleashed. and well; that was a long time ago at this point.
