So, following the completely illogical logic of our God Kaz's priorities, for this update I foresee new constellations for each circuit in the game.
Subaru (Subaru is Japanese for Pleiades, a Constellation and the SVX is named Alcyone because of the most brillant star of that cluster of stars N.d.r.) for the next update! (just a joke!)

Let's say that putting high expectations on a future GT game hoping that they will magically fix all of the previous one's problems never really pay off well, did it?
Well, I'm ok with all you said but this.
Many people seems to forget that the actual state of GT7 comes from Kaz's vision from the start.
The game was conceived around car collection, hence the Cafe Mode, the UCD, LCD, scapes mode, etc...
The customization options were also coming from this, to let each player create a "link" to his favorite car.
That's also why we have irrelevant content updates, with no theme at all, only increasing the car roster.
Problem is, from THIS starting point and philosophy, you can't make anything new unless you revamp the offline experience and abandon Kaz's "artistic" view of GT7.

Given GT7 is front and centre for showcasing the difference between the Pro and base, anything other than a 7th update doesn't make sense. I'd like to imagine Sony would insist, if not demand it from PD if they felt different.
To be honest, I thought that the Pro is being released on thursday just because of the GT7 strange release schedule...

Don’t forget the original Subaru Alcyone. XT:

This basically confirms no update this week.

Bit embarrassing that a game they used to show off their new €800 box isn't ready for prime time imo.

Oh well.
They just gonna pack two updates into one. How many of those games receive monthly updates?
A lot of job to do for Pody in November / December, and also a small amount of time because of the holidays.

PD have known about the pro for years possibly and certainly had months to prepare the patch.

50 developers pulled it off - PD is not among them.

Not a good look.

Well that's certainly a bust 😔 Haven't played since the last update and the wait continues.

A bit confusing they aren't giving the Pro a stand alone update but it might make more sense to make the release for their own event in December...

my prediction based upon prior updates as evidence...

Kaz will undoubtedly pick some car that no one really expects (toyota Hi Ace van, Suzuki Jimny, Lambo Urus as evidence of prior) and / or will possibly give us a new track that was not mentioned in large amounts here in the forums (i believe that PD does read the forums here but will never admit it)
Of the items that recently have been mentioned in various threads the most likely new addition to the cars would be the Espace Van and the F1 track in Canada.

Six cars - five of which are from this year - as well as two tracks and more than 20 engine swaps?

Unprecedented on top of unprecedented on top of unprecedented. Smells wishlisty... particularly given the fingers-crossed emoji.

This rumor about the Renault Espace F1 is auspicious not only because the iconic van could return, but because it opens the door for PD to add, in future, Alain Prost's Williams FW15C. After all, half the work would already be done by digitizing the engine sound.

It would be interesting for PD to have Senna's McLaren and Prost's Williams.

Cars
I know 6 cars not gonna happen...
I was going for 2 cars from each region as an either or option.... Not necessarily all six cars 😅
As a 3 car update is most common
The ZR1 & The IS500 are/were both in the dealership showcase at one point 🤔

Tracks
The two tracks.... I know impossible....but 1 from the two choices🤞🏼

The Swaps
Hey.... You never know😅

I may have worded my post wrong 😅

Please read the first post in this thread again and amend your "prediction" accordingly.

So you know something about what is coming in terms of cars for next update or just a dismiss for other reasons??👀👀👀
It's a side-project being revealed at SEMA this weekend. The days of PD modelling cars to go into the game day-of - or going to SEMA at all - are long gone.

"Virtually zero chance" doesn't mean "zero chance". It means it's not impossible but pretty close to it.

I posted about the GR86 WRC questioning maybe a SEMA Award winner. I was informed a GT SEMA Award hasn’t been given out since 2018. I don’t know if Kaz is going to attend and start it up again, but this being a Toyota, a special homage at that, I had to at least ask the question.
I wouldn’t even expect to see it the next update when the car was just shown. Usually, a GT Award car gets announced and we see it a few years later.

Possibility ??

SEMA car, Michelin stickered tires, already a model in the game to adjust.....

Toyota Rally Legacy Concept

4WD with Yaris / Corolla running gear
Given that PD haven't done the SEMA award cars in a while, not very optimistic on the chances of this happening.

I know people want to say "but it's Toyota and PD is all up with Toyota Nowadays". By that logic, where's the WRC Yaris? Where's the BTCC Corolla? Hell we STILL don't have the proper Supra GT4 nor it's Evo model. More shockingly, we appear to be playing a GT game that for once does not have the most current or close to current GT500 cars from ANY of the Makes including Toyota.

I will never stop dreaming of the GT500 Super GT cars of the 2020 season. And I only mention 2020 because knowing our friends at Polyphony Digital it would already be a miracle to think of having them between Gran Turismo 7 and Gran Turismo 8, instead the current 2024 cars I don't even think about it, also because if everything goes well we could see them for Gran Turismo 15.

Toyota vans but no Hilux? 🤔

Again predicting Sierra engine swap, its the only old group A without one available.

Custom race settings are a bit dodgy so would expect some correction, although not necessarily with this one.

I imagine a VGT, a Supercar, a fan favourite and something left field for cars.

No tracks but I've liked the direction they've been going with events lately so maybe something Subaru to match the Evo events.
