Here is a simple check list I spent around 40 minutes making.

It has all 1031 original starting cars as well as a checklist box column, a quantity column, and a notes column

You have my permission to post this anywhere you wish as long as you do not remove the bottom part.

If it is for your personal use then I do not mind as long as it isn't shared. Close friends doesn't really count. 👍

Sorry it is in a zip file because this website doesn't allow excell.

V1.1 Edit=I have updated the file. It now has 3 new functions. It will count the total number of cars, the total number of unique cars/ and the percentage of your garage.

Looks cool, but the 'Total' function isn't working when I check off cars?

Well it looks like I have to fill in the quantity and can't just check the boxes for it to tally up. I'm not sure of a way to add up checked boxes, never tried.

Jerome

Yes, you can total the check marks but that wouldn't help if you had more than 1 of the same car.

I think a "countif" function will count if there is an entry in a column or not.

The countif statement would tally a specific value but not sum them. Sum is the correct statement to use.

"total:" is just a label for the box in column "c" which is the sum of all boxes from c3 to c1033.. It is labeling the total amount of cars. But I will try and get it updated so it says how many different ones you have collected as well.

Scratch that. The only way that I can have it count checked boxes is to either A: remake every check box 1 at a time. or B: Create another column with a yes/no option without a check box. Which would defeat the whole point of the check boxes.

I can add another column and put a = countif onto it though if you guys want me to. But it wont be clickable.

There really is not point in having the check box because column C is either going to have a value or it isn't.

I found the same thing, I'd have to remake each checkbox with a corresponding true/false column next to it (which I can hide) in order to make the total tally up the checkboxes. Anyone know a shortcut to do that? I can't make the Fill Down or Fill Series do it :grumpy:

I think you can use the "countifs" function to do this. I've used this function on a spreadsheet of my own to count up entries whilst not adding the actual values like a "sum" function would.

Thanks for this. Now I can keep track of what used car to buy instead of having to go back and check the garage.

I agree, I think it would be better if you just had quantity. This would make the total calculation straight forward then.

Hi guys,

A couple of weeks ago, I did a similar job in Excell, just a bit more detailed and more user friendly.

I've also added some pivots in different tabs sorting per year / manufacturer and Car Owned name and count.

Some info's are still missing for around 100 cars such as level, price, HP, torque or weight, feel free to update them.

I hope you will like it.:)

Cheers,

Ste

You put the Quantity next to it of how many you own of that car

The reason I have a qty column is so that I know what I have to trade. Also it lets me know if I have missed putting a car into the list by telling me the total on the bottom.

Although I do really like your list. I appreciate you putting it on here so I can get idea's for future updates. I have already started on entering many fields for the cars but it seems to get too "busy" But I plan on solving this issue by creating another Car Checklist just for reference as a worksheet on the current checklist.

Wow guys. Thanks a lot. I could have this saved on my phone now. It helps so I don't buy expensive 5mil race cars duplicates.

Sorry to double post, but for some reason when i hit edit nothing was happening......

Anywho.

Does anyone have any idea's I could incorporate into this?

Also does anyone know how to create programs? like perhaps a collection program that we could make?

I know this thread seems to have died, but I wanted to say thank you, I use your list to check (manually, with pen and paper lol) my cars off. I just wanted to point out one small error. Cars #978 and #979 are mixed up. #978 is the standard model Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 '00, and #979 is the premium model Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 '07. On your list the standard and premium designations are reversed.
Other than that small error, I have found your list to be helpful, as it has 2 columns, one with a checkbox and the other for quantity. I currently have 624 of the 1031 cars thanks to your list.
