Hello peeps, for me it would be ace if KY & his PD team made a GT game based solely on classic cars.I.e American muscle, sportscars, little cars like Fiat 500, microcars like Peel P50, saloon cars, vintage road cars, rare road cars.Could include real sponsored classic car races ( road & track events ), like the Mille Miglia & Targa Florio & other race categories. What about an annual Goodwood Festival race ?.Obviously original & varients of existing & lost circuits could be included. This could be a great add on, to GT5 or a full game with as many or more cars as the lastest GT.Is this a good idea to you ? 👍 👎.Or make GTC race cars only, & include classic, vintage & muscle road cars to GT6.

Brilliant idea...

Except that would push GT5 back, and I'm not too sure you're going to wait for GT6.

and why not isntead of another complete game, a DLC which includes all those cars+tracks+events in GT5?

As much as I love classics ( perhaps I even enjoy them most of all in GT ) a stand-alone title would be a bit pointless to me at least as one of the thing I like about GT is having all those classics as well as moderns into one single game.
More classic cars in GT5 should be welcomed IMO, perhaps an add-on in the form of DLC whereby you could decide if those classics are worth having.

Because there are many many many more cars, tracks & roads + all different manner of categories/events that's why Chepu.

I definitely want to see GT5 segregate races by decade, era, year, etc.

I want to see more 90's championship, 80's, 70's, 2000's, etc.

Don't know how most of the official car list, will pan out.So would be great, to see around 830 cars we haven't seen before. This is where these cars come in.Imagine driving a vintage supercharged Merc around Brooklands or a 70's BMW Batmobile at SPA.As mentioned would be great to have real life events with associated league tables etc.Oh and some sort of team management too ( for GT6 then ).

forget gt, get Historic GT & Touring Cars for Rfactor. Targa Florio Track is soon to be released for rfactor as well!

Oooor that could be a new addition in GT6. I hate DLC with a passion unless it's free. That stuff is annoying.

Theres no so many people interested in Classic cars. Its not gonna worth to develop for it.

There are a lot of people interested in classic cars, even more so being playable in a game without the real-life hassle of cost and maintenance.
There is something very intruiging about archaic technology being replicated accurately by high-tech software in my opinion.
Still think those classic cars should be featured in GT5/6 though, whether as full package or DLC.

they could add as a DLC.I dont think they will develop GT classic special delivery thing.

Nice idea, but I fail to see the point which could eventually clarify: Is a new game really necessary? Just put the classics in GT6, add some specific entry events and everybody will be happy.

GT4 has some historic events, like japan '70, '80 and '90 championships, world classic car championship and the fantastic 1000 Miles.

GT4 was huge, but lacked events to support the usage of many cars, I hope PD don't make this mistake again. :grumpy:

DLC!! If there's too many do packs by manufacturer or series or year... that way more longevity and sales for GT5!!!

I hope there's some good classic racing in GT5, but full fledged expansion pack (hefty DLC) could do it more efficiently then a whole new game!

-> I agree with almost everyone, DLC is the only option for this feature. Many people can't wait anymore. :indiff:

This. In GT5, not a separate game.

Sorry, but if there was a GT5 Classic, I doubt I'd buy it. I'm just not into muscle and vintage cars. In fact, other than Ferrari I'm not that much into supercars. But the last thing I want to see is a GT5 featuring just late model sports cars and race cars. I want everything all together in one experience.

I loved NFS Porsche Unleashed just because it's "Era" system(Classic, Golden and Modern era), it was very funny to start all over again, using a Porsche 356 in a '50 old Deutsch road....

Of course GT5 would never reach this level, there's huge differences in scale, and it's impossible to model one version for each deacade for each track ( pretty similar to fuji ). Jut creating more events to effectively use the cars, instead of having them parked at your garage would be an huge achievement.

^ To add on what matherto's post; similar (not in HD-esque) menus, no cockpit view (aka. heavily-tinted cars):

I dont like the idea of a whole game based in a theme, i prefer they add more classic car and do more events for classic cars. Im not a fan of themed car games, they can be good but they always feel incomplete to me, Nfs Porsche, Ferrari Challenge, Supercar Challenge, etc, i have even found the old GT´s imcomplete with the lack of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, for me every game need variety and the most important brands.

Not too popular as a full game then, oh well never mind. The reason i mentioned it, was because KY went to classic car award show a while back ( in America i think ).Probably still on his website.

Think you meant the Pebble Beach concours, where he actually was one of the judges...( probably the most prestigious classic car event in the world ).
Like you I would love more classics but I find it more logical or convenient to have them all in one game with the modern cars, as I like cars from all periods and would love to have them all on one disk or at least as optional DLC for people like us.
Maybe it could be a full game using GT5 content as basis, but it would still make more sense to just offer packs of classic cars as DLC to import into GT5.
