(Google Translate) Hi! I really loved the career mode, but I ran into some freezing issues while playing on my PSP 3000.

One freeze happened when trying to configure a track (I don't recall which one), and many more occurred when accessing the car settings (where you can adjust vehicle physics); I noticed this happens consistently with specific models—the MR2, for example.

With other vehicles, I can access that menu, but the game freezes when I try to save the changes.

I’d be more than happy to provide further details to help support the project; please let me know if you need more information.

Aside from that, I’d love an option to enable the dealership rotation found in the default game; personally, I really enjoy that mechanic.

Sending a big hug from Argentina, and thanks for working on this mod—despite the freezing issues, I’m enjoying it a lot! :D

UPDATE: Gran Turismo PSP Career 1.0 has patches for three clean USA ISO variants. If a patch rejects your copy, use the patch finder to get the right one. Your ISO is checked locally. The European version is not supported yet.

I really like this game, and even more so with your mod. Please don't abandon it; if it's possible to add more F1 cars and Mercedes models, I would really appreciate it.

How to fix this? Some texts are showing these: Reer instead of Rear, Reverss instead of Reverse, and Pauss instead of Pause? Can someone help please (and others, please see the other 3 attached images above). Thank you!

Version 1.1 is out: 31 cars from GT1 to GT5, grids of up to eight cars, the cut tracks in Single Race and Time Trial, and more tuning. The first post has the full list. Your career save carries over.

Release on GitHub

If the 8 car grids and 31 added cars work online this will be amazing! I get why some people don't want to deal with Ai generated races but I definitely recommend racing online against real people via PPSSPP if people haven't already.
Would it be possible to add drift trials online? 8 people drifting tuned cars on the tracks from GT3 would be incredible.

You are making everything i've always wanted in this game a reality! Really, thank you for all your work, this mod is a dream that become true! I want to ask, can be possible to keep the rear view engine sound,in the interior view?this will be fantastic!I hope this can be done,i love that sound, but i not like external view

I was wondering in the settings what is burnout mode? Can someone explain to me, thank you.

I actually wonder why it's not possible to increase the amount of AIs in a race in GT4 too? @TheAdmiester , can you give input on technical limitations? 8 or 12 cars in a race would be amazing in GT4

The game has memory allocations designed for the amount that a PS2 has, so it can't increase pools such as models, opponent code/pathing, textures, or audio without major major changes.

Y'know what, I'm willing to try the mod! Can gear ratios be changed to help with tuned cars?

Please excuse my ignorance regarding the PSP hardware, but GT PSP has more memory allocations than GT4, right? So that's how it was possible for this mod to have 8 cars racing? Maybe the fact that later PSPs have 64 MB of RAM rather than 32 MB of RAM that earlier PSPs have (as well as PS2s) could have something to do with this...

Y'know? As much as I am disappointed by the overuse of GenAI in this mod, seeing the new content in this mod is rather tempting (even that is a bit of an understatement), especially 8 cars racing, and the new content from even other GT games. So maybe I might actually end up trying out the mod and playing it sooner or later, mainly out of curiosity, and just for my fun!

Here's my showcase for the new update.

There is so much replayability with tuning and the new cars. Driving a 400 horsepower Dodge Copperhead (the 1997 concept) in the dirt is fun especially dialing in the tune. So many silly things too like Tank Cars at Citta Di Aria and any racing with the 1880s Mercedes. Also I think online with the new cars and tracks might work so maybe a dedicated GT PSP Online league could be a thing?

Yes transmission and differential settings have been added with the newest update and it makes cars such as American muscle much more competitive.

I think that's right since the mod creator said everything works except still 4 car racing with the PSP 1000.

That looks really awesome!! I hope I won't make anyone angry or annoyed saying this.

Same here, but the glitchy Diablo GT model should be changed and/or fixed at all costs, also cars that are exclusive to GT Concept & GT4 Prologue aren't added, and should be added in the next update (e.g. Toyota Pod, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII Rally Car '01 (the finalized version not the GT3 prototype one), etc.), that's all.

Besides the F686/M F1 car, hoping the other 5 F1 cars from GT3 can be added from this mod, otherwise great work ahead!! and the special colors from GT4 should be added also on this. :)

What music plays when the player finishes 5th or worse? I think finishing 8th should play a silly music for ending up dead last.

Edit: Something like the 7th place or worse theme from Gran Turismo 5 would actually, IMO fit.

i mean its half more then anyone else has ever done
It's not though, getting AI to generate unreadable code is not more than creating cohesive, logical and efficient code that works and can be read and edited by a human. While I'm not above people being able to enjoy and have fun with this mod, being able to do all of this with human created tools and code would be far more useful to the modding community as it can be learned from and built on.

For example, even I can add events into and mod GT5 and GT6 quite easily due to the work others have put into understanding the code, how the file formats work and creating tools and instructions that make it easy to work with those. The only way to do anything with this is by brute force AI'ing it.

So by all means, people can enjoy this mod, but please don't mistake it as doing more than an actual modder achieves, because what they do benefits the entire modding community and by extension creates better mods. It just takes longer and requires more hard work.

No it's more that the "author" doesn't care what they break. Just like it's possible to have 6 car rally/convertible races in GT4, but it makes the game run out of memory and prone to crashing. If someone wants a completely unstable game for the sake of a shiny new thing then they can feel free, but it's not the type of thing I'd ever do. I think any mod that has half missing models and causes crashes in fairly simple situations is a big no-no.
