Another good series of races this week, although the first race was a little contentious. I hope there isn’t any bad blood between anyone.

Another GTP member entered the mix today: @sturk0167. I hope you enjoyed your time with us and hope to see you again.

Next week will feature the Dino and the Stratos.

My choice of car for the last two races could have been better though. :lol:

You hung in there with the Camaro, especially on La Sarthe.
 
Thanks for the races. It was a chaotic start, but pretty well despite a few bumps and taps while struggling to get my GT40 on the ground.

I had to do a significant suspension setup change as a gamble while keeping my ratios in prediction mode.

Surprised you didn't get a pic of my GT40 shooting for the moon at the worst track in GT Sport.

Lobby specs for Dino v. Stratos are up. Power/weight limits are set. This won’t be a BOP event. Also, please let me know if you’re planning on attending. I’ll start tagging people if I don’t hear anything by Wednesday.
 
Two new events have been added to the Upcoming Events section in post #2: "Classic Italian Supercar Festival" and "Group C Classics Cup." There will be a different fuel/tire multiplier for the Group C event. I just don't know what it'll be yet. Suggestions are welcome.

@Satomiblood I'll try to pop in for a race or two tomorrow morning. Saturdays aren't the best for me, as I'm usually busy for most of the day. Normally I can only make it for the last race or two at Pigems night race. Does it matter which account I use? My sturk0167 account has all the cars, and my RPMcmurphy01 account has far less.

It doesn't matter to me. I mean, if you decide to use your alt account, just make sure you send me a friend request from that one as well.

I’ve decided to take a break from hosting this lobby for a while. Everything on the Upcoming Events calendar has been changed to TBD. I’ll re-evaluate things in a few weeks to see if it’s something I want to resume.

I'm sorry. I logged in a bit late, yesterday morning. When I went to the lobby, I didn't see you. I guess the attendance was getting low. It happened to me too. 2 weeks ago, I did a themed lobby, and tons of people showed up. Then, when I did the same thing last week, it totally bombed. I had to shut it down after 1 or 2 races. :lol:

I’ve been running this lobby for about a year. I think it’s run its course. If it were going to pick up in attendance and be consistent, it would’ve happened a long time ago. It’s just not a very big draw.

This is just a reminder to everyone that's been following the thread that there won't be any events scheduled for at least the next few weeks. I may start posting events again in the future, but that's contingent on whether or not I can get better participation. As it stands, my goal of creating a dedicated lobby for GTP members has fallen short after its first year. The demand just isn't there and it's not as enjoyable as it once was. Again, I won't rule out the possibility of a return, but I'm not holding my breath that things will change. It's pretty clear that the online racing community on GTP has better, more established leagues and I can't compete with them for exposure and participation. Thanks to everyone that's taken the time to participate in the past year. I hope you're able to understand why I made this decision.
 
What are everyone’s thoughts on a hypothetical AE86 vs. Eunos Roaster event? This might be an event I try if the room comes back.
