2/3 Ain't bad this weekend. That's 2 Million Credits for me.

The second Miyazono bought himself when he kept the soft runners behind him on sector one of the Nordschleife on lap 4 won him that race.

Great decision making there.

Tough race in the X2019 to decide the championship? Miyazono the obvious choice. Thanks for saving my bank balance kiddo.

Saving the Softs for last also really helped when everyone else already used theirs up.

That and the move he made going thru the chicane just before Nord after putting the RS tires on. What a pass and respect to Kylian for leaving the space.

Gallo not so fortunate.

Same here, hell to the yes!

Edit: Just realised my TGT pick came second as well. Don't think I've ever done this well.

Failed (yet again) to predict anything correctly, still 0/whateverhugenumberofguesses. :irked:

Great racing as always, and it was nice that they teased upcoming content.

Viewership:

MANUFACTURERS CUP
• Combined peak of 14.4K
• Higher than 2022 by few hundred viewers
• Down 12,5% compared to last year
• Main Gran Turismo TV feed attained highest viewership from the feeds, instead of Twitch, which had been highest for the past few events
• PlayStation feed new Manufacturers cup record
• Regional feeds set new lows for World Finals

NATIONS CUP
• Combined peak of 18.2K (compared to 21.1K last year, higher than 2022)
• All of the regional/non-english feeds, except Japanese, got only ~ 50% of last year's numbers)

*Watches that epic Nord race. Fires up GT7, jumps in the RB car to do some TT laps around Nord in the best tire with no wear. Spins out at T1. Yells obscenities at the TV, shuts off PS5, and storms off.

Miyazono holding up Drumont and Serrano so they would battle on hards while he pits for soft tyres

Wonder if Korone's restream (at least in Nations) contributed some numbers? Though given the parasocial nature of professional/"corpo" vtubing, would expect some of them to be there just for the vtuber rather than the show.

Korone didn’t stream Toyota or Manufacturers, but she definitely picked the best stream of the three to watch.

I’m glad to see her come back for more racing after last weekend’s Honda eMS. :)

Congrats to Miyazono - unlucky for Serrano... I thought he might nick P2 (and the championship) right at the death there, but I don't know how he ended up 6th.

My first thought was to pick Serrano - Lexus - Serrano; but I swapped to Urra - Lexus - Serrano for some daft reason!

That was a seriously exciting last couple of laps to watch in the Grand Final!

Brilliant final race. 2/3 and reality check that I'm still **** compared to any of these guys and have much to learn

I got 2 out of 3 predictions right. The sad thing is I had picked Miayzono for today's event but after yesterday's Spanish storm I changed it to Serrano. 😐

2 extra millions it is then. 😁

I changed my prediction from Miyazono to Serrano at the last minute…

Its crazy how I made all these predictions long ago (I want to say weeks Maybe?) and 2 of them came out pretty good. There was the slight temptation to change my Nations Cup one but my gut said "No, stick with it", not a bad idea.

Takuma is the most well-rounded WS driver of all. Speed, strategy, racecraft, defending, attacking, he has it all. I was rooting for him but doubted him again when credits were on the line...

Didn't catch the live numbers (according to a stats website I found, it peaked at 9K live viewers) but Korone's stream already has 114K views as of now which is more than 5x the official Japanese stream and more than every official stream combined.
