Hey guys, i have a quick question about Gran Turismo XL Edition. I have the regular GT5 disc and i haven't purchased any dlc yet. So if i purchase GT5 Xl edition, will i still have all my cars from the regular GT5 disc as well as the dlc that comes with it?

Having been absent from this site for about a year now,

I have a similar question:

It would seem that the GT XL is basically a compilation of all the GT DLC, and that you can simply add the content to your current GT save file.

Am i correct to assume so?

if correct, then i will be the first in line to get this DLC.

Looking forward to extend my GT games on the PS3, as the GT6 looks to be on the PS4.

Thanks for the input mate i appreciate it! As of right now i don't think i would buy the PS4 on release, i would just wait until the price simmers down and until GT6 come out :). But as of right i wish to cherish GT5 with all of its glory till the next Gran turismo comes.

As long as the regions match up you should be fine. (ie. US account US disc.)

You will still have to download the DLC with a voucher code that come in the case but your game save will be unaffected.

So, if i understood you correctly. My cars and data should be unaffected and all that is being added is the dlc via voucher code? Sorry if i didn't understood you correctly.

Your game save data is the same. I have both games as well. I didnt have a problem. Its a better deal too if you ask me, get all the dlc plus a game for less than just the dlc would be to buy. But yeah, you will be fine with the XL edition.
 
Don't worry about your game save.

I have had several YLOD PS3 console's and have two copy's of GT5 and now own 3 PS3 consoles i have all my dlc on these console's and can swap my game saves around on them.

You get the first car pack and track pack... As in KART SPACE 1 and 2 and you get SPA... With the cars you get all of those TC (touring cars)... Not sure if you get the suits and paint packs with it

Yes to paint and suits.👍

You do not get, Route X , Motegi or any of the other car packs. :)

If i want Montegi or any other missing contents, i would have to buy those DLC then ?!
 
Yes I believe so. However they are fairly cheap( less than 5 bucks each ).Err.. If my memory is correct??
