I would like youre opinion on my second video pit enterence. I guess I was not doing it proper yet again? I did touch a patch of grass again but i did go in early. Does this justify a pit denial in youre opinion?
My apologize, it is actually the 3rd video I am speaking of. At this point i was doing a forced top speed of 49MPH and i think i got in pretty good.

You're still doing it wrong. Still not the game's fault.

Different game, but that video shows the proper pit entrance.

Yes, you're still driving over grass, same as all the other videos.

Just stop being so butthurt about this and do it the right way, you're only making yourself seem stubborn even though you've recognized that the fault lies with you. Slow down early and drive into the pits properly.

^Little further right and you would've had it.

So if done propely I could techniclly pit at any time I want, correct? I read somewhere that there was a minimum number of laps needed to be completed to be allowed to pit. Is this false then?

How many times do I have to say I dont mind doing it properly? I was just not aware the game was programmed to not allow a pit if not done the correct real world way of doing it. Live and learn. I know now, sheesh!

You can always, you know, try it out for yourself, just saying.

To they OP, I know you said you don't mind pitting properly but in the beginning you are deliberately cheating against your opponents by trying different techniques to enter the pits early.

Wait a minute, you've done this race in B-Spec? Would you not have seen where the cars go in to the pitlane then?

By the way, regarding pit-lane entry speed, the pit-stops I do can be taken at any speed. Indianapolis for instance, if you enter the pitlane there at 200mph the game automatically slows you down.

The girlfriend is wanting to go out (shes paying so thats great) so I cant at this time, need to get ready do a few things which does not include my PS3. But thank you for enormous contribution though.

Youre are right, I neglected to make that correlation from B-Spec, I assumed the AI would adjust for any user error. Clearly i was wrong.

Uh, why are they driving in the grass on pit exit? Seems kinda crazy.

Im assuming youre talking about the vid where my car would not go beyond 49MPH? After driving a couple of laps at that top speed, you grow bored really quick. I was trying to kill my boredom. If there was a ramp to a river, i would have taken my car and done a Gran Theft Auto type of stunt if I could since my pits were useless.

I wonder if you are denied pit help if not propely entered in real life. I am sure there are expections like for severe vehicle problems that do not allow an appropriate entrance.

PD should atleast give me a heads up that I am doing something wrong via a pop up message or the like. Something as simple as "Pit stop should be entered at below XXMPH and entered since the start of the pit enterence". If I drive in reverse on the track, guess what? I see an icon in the middle of the screen letting me know I am doing something wrong. Since I do not get this message, I am lead to believe I am good.

The part where your car is reset and starts from rest isn't a clue that you have gone "off track"?

You enter the pitlane where it's one, big, happy piece of asphalt divided by a yellow dotted line. You don't enter the pit lane where it's two pieces of asphalt divided by grass. Did you ever see an F1 car enter the pits by lawnmowing first?

You're given a penalty in real life - see Pastor Maldonado's drive through at Korea last weekend for entering the pits the wrong side of the bollard.

Yea its pretty obvious you've messed up when the car resets. That is a very tricky pit lane entry as it's so narrow but you're blatantly cutting the grass so yea...

No I was talking about your first video when you enter the grass going quite fast near the end of of the pit entrance right near the pits.

Every pit attempt posted in your videos has you hitting grass with at least two if not all four tires. Not hard to see why it would reject pit entry and make you go around again. Perhaps you're in need of corrective lenses, I suggest having your eyes checked.

I can't help but to think that at this point Joe6801 is just trolling everyone.
He's been told what the problem is yet he's making replies just to incite people and elicit controversy.
Would there be satisfaction if someone finally agreed with his view? I think not.

Regardless, try what people have been suggesting Joe6801.
I'd love to see a proper entrance onto pit lane and the same result happen.
At that point we could really call it a glitch.

You have a point, I kept wondering why it would reset my car. 💡

"Pastor was under investigation for hitting a bollard at the entry to the pit lane. Pastor would get a drive through for been on the wrong side of the bollard."

So a "drive through" is basical no pit help, correct? I am sure allot of people follow and know these type of rules but for the rest of us, these rules are unknown.

Will do.

In this case, yes. The implementation is a little different though - on safety and logistics grounds.

Maldonado (which I believe means "Bad gift" in Spanish) did his scheduled stop. Since he'd entered the pitlane too late, the stewards gave him a drive-through penalty - to be served within the next three laps - which required him to enter the pitlane, drive through the pitlane at the pitlane speed limit without stopping and then leave. It's effectively a 20s penalty.

GT5 is pretty much giving you an instant drive-through penalty. Real life can't do that because the driver has to be punished, informed of and has to serve the punishment immediately! That would cause chaos in the pitlane even if it wasn't Maldonado (who is a one-man chaos zone) as he thinks he's stopping (with his, and others, pitcrew out and waiting for him and vulnerable) then suddenly isn't allowed to... He's also stopping because he needs to and preventing him from doing so on old tyres for a 2 minute lap with other cars on good tyres doing 120mph average laps finding a mobile roadblock limping around...

Correct pit entrance is key to a successful pit, not much more to add to this thread. Just ... one litle off-topic word about the 1000kms of Suzuka for those interested in doing it:

I did all my pit entrances carefully through the first entrance (before Casio) up to the point when I saw an AI, in front of me, use the second (after Casio). So, good news, second entrance is valid too :dopey:

Much appreciated, I now have a full understating on why the denial is justified. Sounds like Maldonado likes to drive my style, lol.

This problem hasn't been fixed! :(

I was doing tsukaba there last night and pitted which I thought was a reasonably safe speed although my tyres were completely shot :guilty:

Turned it on today and it jumped straight out of the pitlane again and tried to race the rest of the race on the **** tyres. Would have been fine and very handy but I didn't have enough fuel to finish and ended up 4th.

I like the glitch if you use it tactically like on your last stint of fuel or tyres so you get an automatic B-spec to finish the race but its very annoying to have it happen un-expectantly when you've been told its after being fixed!
