How does one gain access to the room ? Will you post a room number ?

I will post a room number as soon as I get one open on race day. I should have the room open roughly 15 minutes before the start time.

I've just done a half dozen laps at Le Mans and I can see that the challenge here will be about car control. Yes it can be driven successfully if driven smoothly but the emphasis is keeping the car under control. It will be very hard to make up time if you make a mistake and get behind as you can't push the car any more than it can be driven sedately. For me anyway, a real challenge, yes .... but not so much fun :) Maybe I should reserve my opinion until after the first race :)

Here's an off the wall idea ..... reduce the 458 HP to that of the 430 and add ballast weight to the 430 to equal that of the 458. Equal cars, different models and the 458 might become a bit more manageable like the 430 is :)

The F430 is a lot easier to control IMO. It is a little understeery, but it doesn't have the vicious snap of the rear end that the 458 has. I like the challenge of SH tires. If the participants in this series want to switch then let me know. We can try SM or SS.

I think it would be worth looking at SM but not necessary to make two jumps in grade at this point. I'd like to run some laps in the 430 on SH just to see how its lap times compare (it is quite a bit lighter than the 458). If it's only a bit off but handles better than that could be an equalizer. Got my Bobs at Grand Valley with it at the moment :)

PART Deux .... I just ran the 430 with the SH and you are correct ... it doesn't have the snap oversteer of the 458 and does push a bit in the front (the two characteristics are related I'm sure). I was a bit surprised by the fact that they both seem to have pretty much the same braking points ... I expected the lighter 430 to go further into the corner but maybe it has smaller brakes in the real world. Overall though, it was within a second or two of my times in the 458 so it's a viable contender IMO ... especially on SH tires. If we went to SM, the 458 might become so stable that the 430's competitiveness might be compromised.

Looking forward to 9:30pm EST tomorrow night (you did say 8:30pm Alabama time didn't you ?)

We are not gonna race tonight...?

Well, this is all, see you later!!

We are racing tonight. It will be later. The room opens in 30 minutes. I had a delay that I am sorry for. I had a problem getting home.
