im wondering what is up with Mclaren as well...maybe they still have a few bugs to sort out but at least they arent blowing up all over the place...trulli is a damn good driver, im hoping his race pace continues and he starts grabbing podiums on a more consistent basis...im sure fisi will make an appearance in the race, hes just like heidfeld in that he is very underrated...Ferrari is a question mark and id rather not speculate at this point but im sure this race will really define where they stand for the rest of the season...im glad to see Nick doing well too, hes been stuck in the lower rungs for far too long, he deserves this chance to prove himself...i would also be very disappointed in Williams if they dropped Heidfeld in favor of Button if Heidfeld continues to do well this season...but im not much of a Button fan anyway...Klien is doing well but Liuzzi showed his pace in practice...anyway Bahrain will be a great race...i cant wait!

It's not that McLaren is doing bad, like say last year...but they have been very unlucky thus far this season. I think som of it is also, pulling a page from the Williams playbook, not able to fully understand and figure out their car. Kimi's driving seems to be more ragged this season and JPM is not having very good luck. I hope to see them settle down once they get back to Europe.

Trulli is a damn good driver...but I am still unsure about that Toyota. Sure the pace looks like it is there but Malaysia could have been a fluke. Plus Trulli has been complaining all weekend about the car's balance. I hope the Toyota is the real deal. I like seeing my guy Trulli up there fighting with Flavio's current favorite boys...

Isn't it great :D

Well I missed qualifying, so I have no idea how any of the cars looked. Though I would like to see Renault and Toyota do well, which it kinda looks like they did.

Just under 5 hours 'till Qual 2, should be good. :) I'm hoping Webber can move up a spot or two.

Blake

I don't know if I will be watching the race in the morning tomorrow or not. With tonight be Daylight Savings and the hour being moved forward, that means the race starts at 5:00 in the morning here.

Get some sleep first and use an alarm to wake you up at 4:30 ... I've got exams tomorrow morning so my sleep will be limited due to this GP, but that usually doesn't affect me too badly so I should be fine.

Blake

Yeah, that's not going to happen. I would be on not enough hours of sleep and I've already gotten myself behind in them with today.

ill be awake all night tonight...GP starts at 6AM here in Dallas...

Maybe I'm just an idiot and figured something else, as the time would be the same where I am at as in Dallas. Though I still don't know if I would be able to handle a 6AM start.

i checked speed's schedule and they said the race would be at 7AM i believe and with the daylight savings stuff factored in it would actually be 6AM if i am not mistaken?...ill check again...

edit: btw they re-broadcast at 12:30PM but obviously that wont be live...

Did you check it on Central Time too? The thing is, the time will still be the same, it will just feel one hour earlier, which really is not a good thing. Daylight Savings always confuses the heck out of me, mainly because I make the thing harder than it actually is.

The race will start at 08:30 AM here, is that correct? Shouldn´t it be at 09:00 AM, or 08:00? I got that time on Globo´s website, the channel that broadcast the races here. Maybe they´re starting half an hour before the race, to give details and all.

I´ll have to use my cell phone to wake me up, otherwise I´ll sleep until midday. :P

*waiting patiently for Qualifying to start*

Do you actually get to watch Q2 live? It isn't aired on SPEED until an hour before the race.

Williams...I hate to admit it but the car is looking pretty good. Better than McLaren! I was also glad to see Nick beat Webber (again)! Way to go Nick! Maybe Sir Frank will relize he has a real deal in both Nick and Webber and not jump for Button mid season (since BAR will be way down in the points allowing Button to jump ship). If Williams does take Button and replace Nick I'll loose the little shred of respect I have left for Williams AND loath Button more than I do now!

Its the first time Heidfeld bet Webber in any of the qualifying sessions? If you mean the malaysian race, Webber would have had that podium if it wasnt for the crash. Im not saying Heidfeld is not as good, jsut he hasnt shown up Webber yet, I think they are the best & msot equally matched driver paring & that can only be a good thing for both of them & the team,If both drivers can consistantly finish racers Williams may be a cxhance fo rhte constructors if not the drivers title.

Ding!
Alonso on provisional P1 and Trulli in P2.

How awesome.

Out here in Cyprus we get Q1, Q2 and the race all live. However with me being English the Greek or Turkish comentary (depending on which chanel you watch) is a bit annoying. 👎

So I also make use of the live timing feed with that scrolling text commentary means I don't miss too much.👍

That sucks. We get the all of the stuff for every weekend; though other than the race, none of it is guaranteed to be live and this is the first year that SPEED has decided to do it this way.

That's cool, our race coverage isn't even live most of the time :grumpy:

It's usually within 45 minutes though...:indiff:

Blake

eh, at this point im just happy to be able to watch the race...the US of A cant seem to acknowledge any form of motorsport besides that horrendous nascar...

You forgot drag racing too, as it is just about as bad as NASCAR.

Sunday Qualifying

Alonso again :) I thought MSC was gonna get the pole as soon as I saw him beating Trulli. But the fastlap of Fernando was damn good.

GO ALONSO!!! :D

this is his race from the start.

only 45 minutes till the program starts here! :p

I better get out of this thread, i don't want spoilers

Blake

Seems that MSC is a bit angry. I've seen Alonso and Trulli talking after the classification, and Schumi passed through them without even looking at them.

Is good to see that Trulli and Alonso are still friends after what happened last year. But I've never seen Michael in this mood (except when he had to retire in Monaco, when he thrown his helmet against the floor :dopey: )

PD: I really want De la Rosa being in the podium. It's impossible, I know, but lemme dream :dopey:
