Grand Theft Auto V or The Last Of Us?

Newegg is having a sale on preordering games that haven't been released yet, and these two were the games that caught my eye the most. I am debating which one to preorder/purchase. Currently, I am leaning towards Grand Theft Auto V because it will most likely hold my attention longer. What do you guys think?
 
Well, both are must haves. I would say The Last of US if you have to decide simply because Naughty Dog can use some more support (GTA V will sell like hot cake anyway).
 
Well, GTA V might not be coming out for another year or so, and doesn't have a release date. However, neither does the Last of Us.


I personally would order GTA V, because I'm a fanboy. :lol:
 
The Last Of Us for me, GTA is Rockstars "Street Fighter II" franchise, same milk from the same old cow.

The Last of Us might not have a full release date but you know that it releases in 2013, now GTA V you don't know a single thing.

True, but do you really think GTA V will be released in 2014?
 
Even thought GTA V probably won't be released until next year the trailer and screenshots look so good and it will probably like you said hold your attention longer so I would go for GTA V.
 
The Last of Us looks really good, but I would like to see some more footage of gameplay. I will definitely purchase it when it is released though. In the meantime, I just finished playing Sleeping Dogs, (Square Enix's attempt at a GTA game) and it was awesome. I would suggest looking in to it if you need a game to pass the time.
 
The Last of us does look really good but I think thats a single player game only. If thats the case it will be an excellent rental.

GTA5 on the other hand will most likely have multiplayer and also some sort of co-op. Plus GTA5 is a massive sandbox game. So while both games will be great, GTA5 will entertain me much much longer than any single player game. I am expecting GTA5 to be released sometime in 2013. The last person that bet me lost and wont pay up. I think most of us know who that person is. :lol:

Oh yeah hang on - that sounds like the sort of punk scam that R1600Turbo would pull...

Even if The last of us has multiplayer (probably similar to Uncharted) its going to be hard to compare the fun factor to a massive sandbox game like GTA5. GTA5 will have helicopters, planes, and all the sandbox fun you can imagine. I dont think these 2 games will even be comparable at all.
 
GTA V, purely because you can sink hundreed of hours into a GTA game - a feat which few other games can match.
 
I say GTA 5, then get Last of Us down the line.

As much as I love Naughty Dog, I can't say no to a 6 star rampage.
 
I would get GTA 5 as well because you're sure it's gonna be good, for the moment the Last of US seems to be pretty cool but we didnt see much of the games except that it's gonna be pretty.
 
GTA V, if you like being able to free roam a digital world doing things you normally can't do in real life. It's going to be awesome anyways.
