You don't get it. Practical Jokes/Pranks are never funny for the victims. That's what makes them pranks.

Jay I understand you're sour about everything at the moment, but it was a harmless prank that would've been explained very soon after sUn pulled his alleged "prank". "Hacking" occurs at forums everywhere, and although this was the end result of a April Fools joke gone wrong, it should not be the Administrators and Moderators that take the sole blame for this. We are all sincerely sorry, and we hope that we can gain your trust again, Jay, because you are a well-behaved contributing member to GTP.

Sorry, Greg, but I don't find anything funny about the death of a relative, whether it be mine or yours.

You were the victim- it wasn't supposed to be funny for you. Duh.
 
I'm just clarifying that the victims (all of GTP) aren't supposed to find it funny; pranks are rarely EVER found funny by the victims.
 
Greg, it's not about who it was or wasn't funny for. It's the sheer distastefulness of the "prank". What? Do you think we were going to say:

"Haha, nice joke, PS. We all know your Grandmother isn't really dead. Hurr hurr."?

Of course not. There was a massive chance that she could in fact have passed away, and it's not something to joke about. We don't know you personally Greg, it's not like we can go:

"Oh, that Greg, he's such a prankster, making us believe his Grandmother is dead and all. He does it every time. Tee hee hee."

It doesn't work like that. It wasn't a prank at all, since a prank is usually making somebody believe something that they should be able to decipher if it is true or not. This was just sick.

Leave it be, Greg. Move on, accept you've made a mistake, and please don't continue this. I suggest somebody close this thread before somebody says something out of line.
