hey catlin.. i have had the same thing happen to mine a while back.. strange looking line coming from the sky...

It could be a driving system with the position of the car. You can see that the ray of blue light is only on the driver.

anyone still problems with the game "slowing down" when there are few cars in the screen? i thought this could be a problem with my tv (samsung 37inch full hd) but cant find any more people with the same issues..
it feels like a good old lag when i used to play pc games :D Pal version btw.

I have noticed minor slowdown when there are a lot of cars together, but only on a couple of occassions.

Yeah i notice they need to fix the AA completely, on daytona oval u can see such blocky shadows on the bonnet of the car its like errr wtf? lol
The AA is a big one. i dont understand why they cannot have smooth shadows? it cannot be that hard considering the gfx for the rest is so detailed and perfect (well near perfect)
oh and i do hope they fix the jaggies in the showroom and main screen, sure its not a MASSIVE ISSUE, but if this was fixed also it would make it look so much more realistic with the smooth edges and finishing, who agrees?
I agree completely. It may be a petty thing but it bugs me that the graphics have these glitches.

I raced someone online at the daytona road event the other week who had that coming from his car, it looked cool but by the time I had caught up the host had quit.

I suspect that's more likely to be a hardware glitch than software. Sometimes the chips trip up on one of those umpteen trillion floating point operations they perform every second and when they do you'll see classic tearing effects, usually on a specific car model or a specific area of the track.
