Graphics Card Help

I'm looking at laptops, particularly the HP 6500 and 9500. I wont be playing too many games, mainly Hitman : Blood Money, Battlefield 2142, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare (1,2 - whichever I find first and works), and Any of the newer Splinter Cells..Maybe even World of Conflict if possible. Which of these two cards will allow me to play the above mentioned comfortably and is there a major difference between them? The graphics card and battery life are the only things making it hard between the two, If I can squeeze 3-4 hours or so out of either, I'm happy, but I still want a capable graphics card, keeping me tethered to the DV9500t.

Mind you, I'm no hardcore gamer and will also be using this for school. Any suggestions?

I don't know how much my budget is yet, But It will prolly be around $1500.

What do the games need to run optimally?

A little while ago, I asked for the same things as well and people recommended me an HP or any other laptop without shared graphics.

I already bought mine but it's not an HP, HP is waaay too expensive IMO. Try to look for Fujitsi Siemens as well, the latest reviews show that those laptops really are gaining at HP in the laptop world 👍

I bought myself a Dell Vostro series. It's based upon the Inspiron 6400 series and offers everything I'm looking for. Processor is an AMD Turion 64 Dual Core, more details, I haven't got as the laptop is yet to arrive 👍

When I compared an HP with just a tad better specs and my Vostro, my Vostro was cheaper by 50-60% and I saved myself enough to buy me a new amplifier with guitar effects 👍

I only needed a new laptop for my Photoshop work and school, and I'm pretty sure the Vostro will be capable of running things just fine

well, if you show the characteristics of each one and the price, maybe I can help, but has Bram Turismo said, normally HP are much more expensive than others laptops.

DV9000t: Configged w/ (sorry, on my psp) the 8400, 2Gb Ram, 240Gb HDD, core 2 duo (1.88), home premium, fingerprint reader/webcam/mic, and some other stuff (I dont remember rite now) it comes out to around $1500 on costco, pretty good imo. Earlier, I was actually reffering to graphics cards (nvidia geforce 8400GS, nvidia~8600GS). The dv6500 similarly specced (but is limited to the 8400GS and 200g Hdd) is about $13-1400.

Specs look pretty good to me, although I don't know why you'd need a fingerprint reader

I've been thinking and I'm getting a bit closer to my decision, I just have a few questions: With an 8400m GS, could I play: Hitman: Blood Money, Fear, Battlefield 2142, the latest Splinter Cells well on med-low? Anyone have experience with this graphics card? If not, I might stick with the dv9500t for the 8600 (and less battery life) to go to school with.
