I have stomped the competition on the Advanced Snow ralley and beaten the others in the paved road ralley but I have been getting my @$$ handed to me in the Gravel Ralley. :nervous:

I have just about all the ralley cars that are offered and can't find one that will put me out front. Would like some suggestions on which car and what set up to use if you guys wouldn't mind.

Thanks for the help.

Setup will depend on your drive style (or skill).

I use the Impreza WRC 2008 that I won in intermediate with maxed turbo, torque at 50/50 (I can't handle power sliding that well on gravel, and I can floor it coming out of corners), and brake balance tuned for stable braking (no under or oversteer), and also full aero.

That was enough to win by 1 min at the end, but that's for my driving style, which is not much drifting, more like track racing.

Also, I turned off TCS completely, and used SRF on.

Don't hesitate to shortshift into 3rd in you're spinning too much on 2nd in corner exit, that'll save a lot of time.

I used the Lancia Delta Rally car with mid turbo upgrade and stomped the competition by more than 1 munite overall. Downforce was maxed. I think the diff was set to 20-35-15 (both front and rear). I left the suspension at the default settings. Brake bias was 6-3. TCS-1, ABS-1, SRF-on. This thing accelerates like a beast and hauls on the straights. Power sliding didn't work for me. Brake early, set a good line, and power out of the corners. In most stages I passed at least one of the competitors.

Car: Lancia Delta S4 rally car
Setup: all default, except ride height raised to teh max and the extension/compression/anti roll bars were softened (settings are lower)
Driving options: ABS 1, TCS 1, SRF on, everything else off

That's what I used for the Gravel Master.

Turn SRF on and it will be a complete cakewalk. If you can't win with a comparable car to what the AI uses with SRF on, then you're beyond help.

I used a C4 WRC with a Stage 2 Turbo inside. Make sure you turn off all of the driving aids, as using TCS off-road holds you back from obtaining the maximum speed you can possibly get on cornering.

Thanks guys! I did it!!! Yippii!!!

I used the '08 WRX STI WRC with traction control turned off and the diff set to 50/50. I really watched the gearing too. If the course was mostly straight I set the top speed to 168 if it was chocked full of turns I dropped it to 155.

Absolutely killed to competition! I was suprised at how much the traction control robbed the car of accelleration out of the curves. Awsome....

Thanks again for the help.

I used Ford RS200 Rally Car with max upgrades. It wasn't cheap (about 2mln) but I won pretty easily, being average at rallying.
Remember to turn TCS completely off.
