I think the base livery is a hang over from the Nurburgring 24 hours, as the car ran different livery before that race. Again struggling for pictures on this one, I guessed at a decal on the bonnet, basically using a one that appeared both on the pre N24 and the actual N24 livery, that one can be found somewhere in this thread BTW...

The #33 was more complex, particularly getting the Young driver logo over the haunches , looking something close to right, again missing a decal on this one, I just wasn't able to find anything legible enough to read, I even know the same one appears on the Le Mans winning #95 GTE Am car from 2014, but still couldn't find one I could read! :banghead:






Again I must credit @daan for the Young driver logo's used on these 2 cars! 👍​

TRG-AMR V12 Vantage GT3 - Daytona Test Day 2015

The livery on this car was originally applied for use as a promo vehicle for Royal Purple at SEMA in 2015, but it also got used for a test day at Daytona in November of the same year, thus the IMSA number panel and GTD class ident. Once again I couldn't find photos of the car so made some educated guesses about what would be there.

I have not used the semi matte paints much before, I don't really like that it effects everything! First time attempt at using carbon fibre like layers as well, although you will be hard pressed to see them ;)

#6 Aston Martin Nurburgring Test Centre, Nurburgring 24 Hours 201

The #6 car races by the Aston Martin Nurburgring Test Centre in the 2011 Nurburgring 24 hours, Slightly overshadowed by its brothers Zig and Zag the mighty V12 Zagato racecars (I so wish they appeared in the game), but this is the car that works driver Darren Turner made his debut in at the endurance classic that is the N24.



As usual simply is not so simple when it comes to making liveries in GTS, the location of the sponsor stack on the sill is actually two different paintable areas which meant laborious attempts at alignment to get things looking remotely right! The sponsor stack is also predominantly made of custom decals traced modified and cleaned up...

Aston Martin Vantage N24 "Rose" GT Edition

Revisiting "Rose" she has had a vast number of different sponsor's plastered over her, this set is from 2006 Bahrain 24 hour race, but I decided to go with the GT racing number panels as they are somewhat close in appearance to the ones used in that race and it has the added bonus of looking right in GT league/sport modes (I am building the Bahrain 24h panels in Inkscape as well but have some font issues).

I also decided the yellow used previously was too green :sick: so have changed it up again.​
 
Aston Martin Belgium Vantage N24 2009













Yet another N24 V8 Vantage :cool: this time raced by Aston Martin Belgium in the 2009 edition of the race. I decided to go with a special green rather than making masks over a metallic base, with the feature logo in light grey instead of silver, compromise...

Again what should be simple to make is made difficult in GT, this time due to a nasty angle / depth error on the roof pillars of the car, but hey I do now have a template base to use over special colours...

Much appreciated help from @ARTAsean for identifying the Folia Worxs logo 👍

Note: The car evolved of the course of the race meeting, I added the tyre sponsors (Yokohama) at some point after I took the paint shop screenies. :dopey:​
 
Generation AMR Super Racing Team Vantage GT4 British GT 2016

Heading back to the 2016 British GT Championship with this one, with the Generation AMR Super Racing Team V8 Vantage, I think this car does have something to do with the chap that runs the Superdry Clothing Brand. Using the base created in for the N24 above took some of the pain away, this time, but I did go with a chrome base, so created a mask for the main logo. I have also shared the 2016 British GT number panel (GT3 and GT4) along with the "windscreen banner" I made for this car.

The car has also raced in matte black, so that may well appear if I can find a suitable solution to having gloss black, matt black and the need for a chrome base...

I did only share the ones that i thought other folks might be interested in, not the really obscure stuff ;) :o I guess I should really put those ones up rather than the easy to find ones...

I totally understand.

I sometimes share decals that could be useful for others (the 2019 Michelin IMSA badge, Led Panel, some logos...) but I usually keep the « obscure » stuff for myself too.
1) that way, I can delete them as I’ll probably never use these again.
2) they won’t interest a lot of people anyway.
3) it’s these that can make my work « better » than another livery.

But I always share the decals if someone ask for them.

#69 Dorr Motorsports 650S GT3



The MP4 12 C got so much better liveries than the 650S, another adaptation this time the #69 Car run by Dorr Motorsport at the 2014 N24, I wanted to maintain the original Mclaren base cover so I wasn't able to match the wing mirrors.... I really liked the usage of the Union Flag on the air intakes :cool: which was the main reason for making this one ;)

#66 Dorr Motorsport 650S GT3



The sister car to the #69, the MP4 12C GT3 from which this livery is based upon with Kevin Estre behind the wheel set a new lap record time of 8:10.921 in 2014, I have to say I can't match that in GTS with the 650S :( A big thank you to @Maninashed for the help with the Driver decal that is on the bonnet and roof of this car.

Great Britain McLaren 650S GT3






Another 650S GT3 livery (I think I may have a problem ;) ), this one is based on the MP4 12C GT3 that McLaren displayed at the 2012 Goodwood FOS. One concern with this livery is blotchy red, where I have patched over bits and pieces as my eyes struggle a bit with that colour despite trying to use data to make the colours the same (flag and colour patches) :(

@graveltrap I really like the last one. The first is too « monochrome » for a Polaroid livery, and the second reminds me more of the various Ice Watch liveries.

I do agree but I followed the real car! Should of painted the wing white As well I guess! :O It hasn’t done well on the likes front at all, I guess for the reason you mention.

Not familiar with Ice Watch liveries will have to have a look see what you mean!

The last one is very colourful and probably my favourite, i didn’t plan on making it, but after uploading the stripes I had to use them! :lol: I may have to re make with a black body to see if it makes the colours pop a little more!

#55 Spirit of Race Ferrari - European Le Mans Series Silverstone 2019​














Always liked this livery, i think it is because it is not red ;) so I decided to make a replica for myself, choose to use the real car paint - Lime Rock Green for the base, it seemed a pretty decent match for the real deal. The ELMS number panels that I made for this have also been shared.
