Have you been reading my mind or do we have a telepathic link?

Seriously though, I am in the same position...I have completed just over half the Autobahn trophy, everything else completed as of yesterday and was planning to go back to the beginning and do the career with different cars (lower PPs etc)...would complete the Autobahn and would give me nice credits. Am also planning on learning to use the manual transmission

Hahaha, no I have not mastered those powers yet. (sorry).

But it counts for me exactly what you say, I dusted of my DFGT halfway the career. But noticed that for a hand full of races, I couldn't win it due to not yet have the automatism with manual shifting.

So a new run, Wheel, all aids off and MT would make the life of GT6 another 2 months!
Although, I might consider skipping a few races (Moon-3, Pylons, GT Arena Kart etc)

Good luck with your second journey.

I will definitely be skipping all the missions, Karts etc unless I specifically want to improve my time in any missions. I think it will probably take me a week or two to get used to using manual transmission (I play about 3 hours a day so hopefully sooner as I really need it to compete in the WRS Time Trials))....I was already running most events without aids (well except ABS 1) but some cars was using TCS as struggled to control, if I can get used to manual, then I can probably use it to control instead of TCS

Good luck to you too

Yeah, unfortunately I only play approx. 2 - 6 hours a week
Some mission races are quite fun to do and definately not that hard...

Yeah, MT can solve the TCS issue but it is better to learn to use the throttle more gentle.
Shifting up to 3 to prevent spinning would end up with really slow laptimes.

Yeah, very true...I guess it's the downside to being old-fashioned and using the x button for accelerate!! I really should try and learn to use R2 but have struggled in the past with it...it would allow more gradual acceleration though....really wish I was in a position to use a wheel and pedals, would be so much better :grumpy:

When I race with a DS3, I also use the X and [] to drive...never got used to using the L2/R2....

Of course I cannot look inside somebody elses wallet, but a secondhand DFGT (or an older version like DFEX) wouldn't cost too much?
And for sure it add's much more fun and more realism to the actual racing.

The cost isn't an issue as I could buy a decent wheel if I wanted.....the issue is a back problem that means I can only sit for 20 minutes at a time before laying down for an hour and not sure it could cope with using pedals and such....if it ever gets fixed then one of the first things I will do is buy a wheel and pedals.

And, yeah, L2/R2 is not easy....I had to use it when I played Shift as it was the only option but I really struggled with it, though that could have also been the unrealistic physics in it making it tough. May try again at some point but am fairly good at throttle control using the x button

I just did the third "like the wind" race over and over once I was within about 300 miles of the trophy. It's kind of fun buying different cars and trying them out. Or using one that's fairly slow but can keep up by drafting.

I suppose the 24 minutes of Le Mans would work well too. Anything where you're averaging a high speed over most of the race will obviously get more miles faster.

Or just don't worry about it and enjoy the game. That trophy will pop when it pops.

..and also nets you 420k credits in about 15 minutes (winning x3).

it also means about racking up 19 miles in about 4 minutes each time.

Or, if you want to put it in one hour terms... roughly 280 miles accumulated for a 2.1 million dollar profit.

I have started driving each car I have in my garage at Mount panorama. I am about 2000 miles away from the trophy.
