i just whent do the goodwood festival of speed in england there were lots of cars thers from old to new f1 cars,le man cars rally cars and old vintage cars runnin on the track and i have to say they sound so different to gt3 so i hope they improve it loads

yeah definately all the car engine sounds really sucked in GT3, sounded like blenders, my lawn mower sounds more rough than the cars in GT3. Even the muscle cars sound ****ty, and don't get me started on the Hondas....

Well I was reading a UK car mag called EVO and one of the blokes was taking his Caterham to a track in the UK to have the engine sound recorded. Apartenly the queue of cars waiting to be sound recorded was taking up a large amount of the 1/2 mile long straight. It has some pictures of the cars being recorded, so I guess any cars that were recorded will be in GT4 so if you want I'll post a list of the cars I can see in the photos that are likely to be in GT4

Shall I?

PS they were doing a special tour recording cars from different countries incl. Japan, AQmerica (good) and other EU countries.

True but they did the same with GT2+3 I believe saying they had 'improved' engine noises.... load of bollocks tbh, engine noises were crap in both :irked:

In 3rd person view, then yes, I couldn't agree more:irked:

I'm sorry, but my damn older brother was still asleep when I had to leave for my supposed work experience, so I couldn't get at the mag. I can however, promise that the Caterham 7 with a motorbike engine will be in there!

When I get the chance, I will post the list of cars in the pictures as a must read thread, probably tommorow (yes I know you're swearing at me, but if you keep on like that ill keep the list to myself!

I'm English in a way coz i was born in England , so was my dad an my mum, but my grandad, dad's side, was Czech (that's why my last name is Trunecka) and my mum's mum and dad were both Ukrainian.
So I'm Anglo-Ukczechian i guess:lol:

Yes, they really REALLY have to work on ALL the noises. There is only about 50 engine sounds shared between all cars. In addition, why to the tires squeal when you stop from only 3 mph as if you were locking them up at 200? There should also be backfires on racecars, and realistic burnout sounds, maybe even shift linkages making a little noise. Also, if you rub of collide with another car, appropriate scraping/crunching sounds should be heard, instead of the "watermelon hit with a baseball bat with a little echo".

i agree:)

What I personally don't like about the sounds in GT3 is the lack of edge...Everything is so droning and monotone. Most racing cars have sounds that cut into you, very crisp and have that "brap" sound, very aggressive...But, no, GT3 is very bland--Sigh.

BTW did anyone notice that the Corvette CR-5 in GT3 sounded like an electric lawnmower and flat. Either my TV set is really misleading and the sound's going or they got the sound completly wrong, because all the Le Mans 24 hrs I've seen with the Corvette CR-5 racing it sounds like a proper car with a proper engine - being a V8. Hmm.....
Though if they give it the same sound in GT4 I'm flying over to Japan and shoving Atuchi Guchi I Dont Know An Engine Sound From My Hairdryer To A Mower, whatever his name is, I'm shoving his arse on my dads Cobra's exhaust and letting rip on the throttle so he can get to know the real sound of a V8 :D .
