no, have you done a search?

No official word yet. There have been many lists posted, but a lot of them are fake. There is one at the top of this board titled Lets make a car list for GT4, or something like that. I'm not sure how often it is updated, but i have seen a pretty good list from there at times.

So far, the cars from prologue are the most accurate listing of available cars for GT4.

Well GT4 have Turbo Charge Sound, like how GT2 is, because if they do, man its going to hella tight!

What's turbo charge? Is it like NOS?

In this day and age... what, with the internet and all... it suprises me that more people don't do a search on Google or something in order to find answers rather than coming on to forums.

sejtur:

Turbo = This...

NOS = This...

I'm not sure how correct I am but you don't learn if you don'tcheck how much you know every now and then, so here goes.

Turbo's are nothing like NOS, in fact NOS is just a brand name that happens to make Nitrous injection kit's. Nitrous kit's replace the air in the engine with nitrous oxide which is cooler and more dense, it vreates a higher air to fuel ratio and more power. A turbo kit is a turbine that uses exhaust gasses to spin, that turbine sucks more air into the engine to create the higher air to fuel ratio. A supercharger is similar to a turbo in that it's a turbine that sucks air into the engine, the difference is that a supercharger spins on a pulley and as a result it doesn't lag like a turbo.

Feel free to correct any mistakes or fill in anything I have missed.

I would like to thank The Fast And The Furious for every one in this world calling Nitrous Oxide "NOS". Now no matter what you do, if you dare say the word 'nitrous' around people, you will be told "why not just call it NOS, thats it nickname"...They never seem to understand, no matter how much you try to tell them, that NOS infact stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems and is not short for Nitrous. Thank TFTF...thank you. :rolleyes:

I dont care :boggled:

Thank you rezz and live4speed but i only had to know what a turbo charger was. I know how a turbo and NOS look like. I have NFSU and i watched TFATF.

But... thanks:)

NOS is the generic term for Nitrous Oxide nowadays but who cares?

It's no different then calling cola 'coke,' tissue 'kleenex' or video games 'nintendo or nintendo's' (notice old people do this A LOT!).

no offence but that is what the problem is, they give people the wrong idea about tuning

This is the most hilarious post I've read. You're talking about nitrous and turbos in a forum dedicated to GT4. Granted, I think there was a vague mention of GT4 earlier, but this is too much. I fell out of my chair laughing when I saw the pic of the turbo. lol

Yet again, someone's managed to surprise me...

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Bedhead

No, people weren't calling it that looooong before TFTF. It was called nitrous... Nowadays you probably find people walking into Greddy and asking for a bottle of NOS.

No it isn't, you must be one of those people who i said probably walk into a tuning company and ask them for a bottle of "NOS".

Boy you guys really missed the point of my post. No going to even bother trying to tell you guys what it is, because you don't GET points do you?

Maybe where you are from they we're..here i hadnt heard it been called that before a certain movie came out, not naming anynames

I am 15..this cetain movie came out in 2001...i found a big intrest in cars a while before this...i had not heard all nitrous brands been called NOS before this movie. You probably have.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused:).

BTW: I know your trying to imply im to young to even have heard of a car ;)

F 'n' F certainly seemed to bring 'NOS' into the spotlight, in the UK atleast & in computer games in general. Seems like quite a few games these days feature nitrious systems :irked:

God Nova boys with NOS stickers :rolleyes: & neon lights on knackered 1.4 litre Escorts with poorly fitted Cossie Whale-tail spoilers :odd:

Meh...i guess im just going by what ive heard...i still think in my op. that TFTF made the word "NOS" for nitrous so popular.

About the Japan thing..at the time i didnt mean for it to sound like that...but now that i read it again...i guess it looks like im saying he is from japan :O

You hadn't heard people say "NOS" before TFTF came out? I'm trying to decide whether thats really lucky, or really unlucky;)

I'm turning 29, I was 25 when TFTF came out... you were what, 12? I can't say too many little dudes in the 7th grade would even care what NOS was...?

I'm not "implying" anything, I was just a little suprised you didn't take into account that some people may have called Nitrous Oxide "NOS" before you were around... thats all. Peace bruv.

7th grade is when the movie came out, and trust me they all cared what it was...after every one saw the movie all they cared about was..."When i get a car im going to put nos in it and its going to be a skyline or a supra". Eventualy i just gave up and let them think NOS was every kind of nitrous there is...like i said, they never seemed to understand it was a brand:rolleyes:.
