Hehe, loosing your touch at being an ass:sly:, given this TT a crack?

Yeah, I downloaded the academy stuff for the free car and tried 1 lap and absolutely hated every slippy second of it :yuck: those crappy comfort tyres combo's get right up my nose very quickly :sly:

Maybe this is not worth posting, but the game keeps freezing when I'm running GT academy.:(
It's only when running gt academy. The problem turned out last thursday. I'm posting this because I thought maybe someone could help me.

Are you using a ghost replay Wes? That might be the problem.

@Dan nice lap:tup:

Jut seen outburners lap! what a time! im guessing its Ti-Tech...?

Given me inspiration to have another go later, now nearly a second off! was .5 off fastest in europe this time last week.:nervous:

Outburner is Ti Techs brother.. I've raced him a few times, he is different class. He did tell me that he thought 16.3 would be the perfect time:crazy:

Whaoooo!

I was guessing it was ti-tech aswell, racing in another world!!
I thought my 2:17.4 would be safe to be within a second of best time :(
Will have to have another go b4 competition is over.

Going by that lap id say theres half a chance of Ti-Tech geting another .2 off by the end (17/4), knowing what he is capable of, watching the lap i didnt get the feeling every corner was spot on, corner entering T2 i think personally i am capable of gaining approx 0.050-0.075 on that alone but hey who am i to talk i doubt ill even get within 0.4 of that time im not as consistant. Stringing the perfect sectors together theres probably a 2'15.9 there, never thought i would be saying that a month ago. Wonder what time takeuchi from japan has done by now, i think last year he was second fastest worldwide.

Same thought there marky just had a go on the pad just to see where the times won or lost, T1 and T2 are all about normal not perfect, from the corkscrew onwards he's perfect pretty much.

Bit gutted got a 16.909 but was invalid as just went off :(.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw burner's time!! I was half expecting either Edd or Lar to dip into the mid to high .4's but never a .376, epic time, and I also noticed that he used my settings;) I knew they were the only ones to achieve the limit.

Gonna try and get into the .5's, optimisticly for a .4 If the lap is strung together perfectly enough.

Good Luck man hope you do it!! :). Personally I have such an urge just to get top 10 EU on a pad it's just like an addiction. So at the moment I'm spending 3 hours on a wheel (To get up to speed with it) and 1 on a pad.

edit: Just made an entire spreadsheet to try calculate best possible times for myself which means I can better calculate my PB Lap :). Starting again with the PB's and I am only doing fastest laps per session (4 a day) If anyone wants this spreadsheet just gimme a buzz, can help identify where you may loose time :).

Has the ability to calculate, fastest pad time, wheel time, combined PB's, combined controllers, combined Leading time with PB's.

Its not everything adding up best splits of course, I mean for example you can go zooming past the first split line way to fast and do a PB with a totaly compromised exit. The best I've ever done through there was only a zero something but I carried so much exit speed and on such a good line I gained nearly 2 tenths by the next corner on many other sub-zero splits I'd done.
The reason why most people can't do their combined personal best splits is due to psychological reasons anyway, its best to work on that.

Ye thats true which is why I work it out from best lap of that session. Generally speaking a good split can be seen. I have had 2 .7's in the past T1, but they were well wide to much speed, but my 3rd .7 was a .780 which was my usual line (Slightly better though of course), and same line into the next corner (And was ahead of the arrow). So I try to judge from best laps of the morning/afternoon/evening.

The only reason I made it was to see exactly where my PB's where (I know them off the times I see each split but to write them down put them together exact times and such, just nice to see and know where limits are and such).

But ye psychological reasons are definitely the main problem about getting best sectors :P, just (Personal reasons) I like to see numbers and see where I loose the most time and improve on that sector.

edit: Well that was the silliest thing ever, 2 16.9's (1 would have improved my time again but was invalid) and 5 17 deads, although looking at the split times its quite weird how they are all so close and yet remarkably different times (Admittedly I was on auto pilot and falling asleep during this session on the pad)

Don't think I'm going to many more chances to run this now there is a nice stretch in the evenings:tup: and I couldn't really be bothered grinding half a tenth off here n there.

There is just over 2 weeks left and at the min a 17.4 is on the bubble. I think it could get as low 17.1 but we shall see.

Good luck guys:tup:

I'm the same, very little time to run due to college. I could play for 20 mins here and there, but I doubt I'll find more time unless it's solid 2 hour stints.

On the other hand I have started working on my fitness just in case I make it.. It's a slim chance, but has to be done just in case :P

Solid effort davissi with acquiring a 2'16 time;)

Will only give this one another shot If I'm knocked out of the top 5, which looks highly likely to occur.

Averaging 17.9 at the moment on the wheel :(, Fastest without Active steering is a 17.7, with is a 17.3 but prefer driving with out :P.

Bit annoying though while GT Academy is on I also have; 2 Essays/Reports Due in and my dissertation.

My Current normal day: 6 Hours on the wheel (Up'd from 4 as I need to learn it a lot more :( and really worried about my wheel experience) 4 Hours Uni work (Yes laugh at my priorities :P), 1 hour Fitness just a thing I used to do anyway :P (3 Nights Cardio, 3 Nights Weights/Muscle Training) and the rest of the day for what ever, with a strict asleep by 1 up by 8 policy :P. (Sad? Yes :P, even told my house mates don't expect to see me that much lol) But hey If I don't put in the effort I won't feel like I deserve to go to the knockout stages.

6 Hours on wheel a day? jesus.... thats probably going to slow down your developement of speed.... when i get one i think hour and a half to two and a half would be fine, bare in mind the national finals will be atleast 4 weeks from now.
Last night wasted a 2'16.9 on the last corner with two PB splits on the lap, ended up getting a .253, took it quite well considering haha, rather than going sick like i normally would.

Its more consistency im after at the moment than speed though Marky :). But generally its 2 hours in the Morning, 2 Afternoon, 2 Evening. But I'm improving constantly with it so I'll keep at it! :).

Unlucky with the lap :(! Hopefully you can get it soon :D!

2'17.137, 3 .9s sectors then losing .2 on final sector costing me net 3rd in UK but still reasonably happy that ive suddenly found more speed and quite alot more consistant. Four or five times in two days ive wasted a 2'17.0 or better in the final corner, i will get there eventually!!!

I did a few laps,my best is 2'19 but i drive with the cockpit view!i saw many replays and I noticed that no one use the cockpit view:tdown:

Hey Markyboy hope you're well ! Don't take any notice of wasted laps mate I assure you all the other competitors do exactly the same. :dopey: I can catch outburner back up from 4 tenths back so I know there's some magical pace available out there, I can't imagine how far ahead of his own ghost he must be getting !
Its all about nailing something half competitive since there's so many corners on this one its twice as easy to let the tenths ebb away...especially when you're up by more than 2 tenths on your best.
Its a test of mental resilience, not putting yourself off, all the rest of the driving tricks and info has been shared out between all the top guys by now except how to hypnotise yourself into ignoring the pressure !
Plenty of time left to find more feeling and steadiness anyway. This combo is the best for people who like to play with the throttle, I've always kept my foot down and worked the wheel instead which just induces a slide on this car.
Hope everyone's enjoying the challenge though I think these things have no limits ! :)

Yes Davissi im suprised how there seems to be more and more pace being found, more than any other competitive TT ive done i feel, depending on how hard the best of the best try they might sneak a 2'15 considering i think theres places were i am faster and i am by no means the best, hoping to better 7th this year, gotta sort wheel practice out soon though!:dopey:

Awww no marky your going to beat my pad time soon!!! :( Keep it up though nice to see where the pad time takes you before the wheel!! :).

You guys in the top positions, don't you wish this was finishing soon? Don't understand why they've given it so many weeks, surely the positions aren't going to change much now?? I certainly reached my plateau after a couple of weeks.
