GT Academy for tuners?

So I was thinking if they have a competition to make one lucky person a professional driver then why not have a competition to find the elite tuners and make the very best a crew chief or something like that? What do ya'll think GT Planeteers?

great idea... but just clicking on "Turbo stage 4" is very very very different from actually installing one and doing the actual tune on the ecu for it soo I don't think this would work at all

gt is no gearhead garage... and it isn't engine tuner simulator..

GT5 may give you some idea on how gears, shocks, etc etc will make the car better faster or slower and worse.. but it wont teach you how to do it in real life.

That I understand but, I bet there are a lot of GT couch tuners out there do understand all the tech that goes into tuning a real car so this could give them a chance to show thier knowledge off that they would not have otherwise.

It doesn't directly translate is the problem though. Someone who is good at tuning in the game is not *necessarily* a good RL tuner, although they may be.

The premise behind GT Academy is that someone that is amazing at driving in GT will automatically be an excellent driver in RL also. So far it seems to have held up pretty well.
