Northeast here. I think I have a chance to get into the top 128, but after that I'm not so sure. I've seen some insanely fast people online.

I think I'll start practicing with the TT 370Z I just won.

I wouldn't call it GT Academy North America, more like just America since Canadians can't participate 👎

I don't really care or expect to make it to the finals in something like this, I'm past that point in my life where I can drop everything to chase a racing dream. It would be nice to be able to post a time just to see how I stack up though.

I managed 15th in Canada in the GT5 TT (would have been 32nd in the US, but 1028th! globally).

From reading the rules, it looks like if I falsely registered as a US resident I could theoretically (if I was fast enough) bump someone out of the later rounds since they only verify your identity once you get to round 3. I guess I'll just be watching from the sidelines this time.

Good luck everyone! 👍

I was goinng to write the same.

North America?

Sony Entertainment/PD/Nissan need a geography lesson

I'll try time trial the same track and see how I would rank; now that I have my playseat (didn't have it for the GT5 Demo Time Trial-but at least Canadians had a chance to participate:tup:) :)

Perhaps in recognizing that Mexico and Canada are part of North America; the thread creator would re-name the thread to American Academy 👍

Going to sign up for this, I am a Northeast player. Don't think I have a shot as I'm still playing with a controller :( But the DLC is what I want. Who knows... This might be the only time you can get access to THIS DLC!

I'm sure it will be fun - I'm anxious to see if I can break into the top 10,000 :sly: I guess they're giving away some downloadable stuff just for participating, and I always like free stuff. Just so it's not more museum cars.

GT Academy FINALLY in the U.S!! I can't wait!!! Southeast region in BAMA here...hopefully us BAMA boys can show ya'll wasup! haha...and GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

I'll give it a shot, even if I just get free DLC. I don't have much desire to be a race car driver in real life (I already have a great job), or be on a reality show, so not winning would be fine. I just want to win other stuff!

West Coast - Alaska PSN:bdshort

Though I would like to know more about it, I probably would be interested in participating.

As to results, who knows, but there's only one way to find out.

I would be in Northeast.

West Coast over here!

I most likely won't make it to the top 128 (ranked in the 2000s in the GT5P time trials), but I'm going to try my best. I love the thrill of competitions.

anyone know what cars we will be using or any thing we can unlock in advance?

I'm trying to get my hands on a Nissan 370z to practice all the tracks I can with but I don't think there are any details as to what It will consist of.

I'm signed up in the Southeast. I don't expect to win, but it'll be fun trying.

I hope it's not a super fast car, I'm better with slow smooth cars than I am with hyper powered race cars.

southeast here, don't stand any kind of chance at being competitive, but i'm looking forward to being able to compete, and see where i stack up...
