Because Nissan is paying for all of it, from the developement of the GTA demo to the modeling of all the cars to the carrers of the GTA winners. So yeah, bring on the free Nissans! And thank you Nissan for supporting the scene!

Correct sir! Since it is SPONSORED by Nissan, no-one should be surprised to see that the prizes are all Nissan. I am with the other blokes that say bring on the free prize cars. They are most welcomed in my livery!

I have to agree with this, any new content should be welcomed and is by me.👍

I'd much rather have Nissan as the sponsor than Chevrolet or Chrysler.

Not. Their cars are junk. The engineering and designs are junk. Assembled with junk components.

If GT Academy were run by either, it'd be done solely by accountants. It wouldn't be about who was fastest, but rather who was cheapest.

I could see Chrysler, but Chevy? Come on, they do build a rather nice cheapish sorts car called a corvette, ever heard of it?

Yeah, I've heard of it. My grandmother owned a '75 convertible when I was a kid, and totaled years later. Vettes of the that era were god awful.

Then there was the 80's.

The C6 was a giant step in the right direction, but the Vette is also my exact problem with General Motors.

Why won't they put the same thought into the rest of their lineup? There's not the same pride behind the build of an SUV that sits on the dealer's lot 60+ days. The Cobalt was an absolute joke, along the same lines as "NINJA" (No Income, No Job Application) loans that helped reduce our economy to rags, while other companies were sweeping up market share left and right.

When I hear Vette owners, it's always about the sacrifices they made for their cars. Years and years of blood sweat and toil.... and then I notice that it's the base model, not a Z06 or better. I can understand that kind of sacrifice for a lot of things, but a base model Vette? Can't do it, and keep in mind it is absolute bias.

And then there's the reliability issue. GM almost invented "planned obsoletion", all but designing cars to be thrown away just before, or around the time factory warranties expire. Granted, almost everyone followed this practice, so GM isn't my only gripe on this issue.

My sister's Cavalier (the 2nd one) had her transmission burst apart while buying a soda at a gas station (>50k miles old). My best friend had his Corsica in the shop for months on end just because of a clutch installation issue. I could go on and on and on... and I know GM isn't the only one...

But they are the biggest, and in my opinion they've screwed up the most. I'm glad GT Academy has nothing to do with GM. Had the rest of the lineup been treated like the vette, we likely wouldn't have many of these problems. I understand compromises must be made. The current Vette is full of compromises, but not in the same manner as the rest of the lineup. The CTS is starting to look better, but look at the development it's been through... eerily similar to the Vette.

On topic, I'm hoping for Spec 3 after Academy is over. Nothing has been remotely hinted at, but Prologue got a Spec 3, so who knows.

Not even the Vette is safe from their practices! I've crewed for a friend of mine on his T1 Vette and we literally had to replace every damn bolt on that thing to make it last an entire race, note that I said race not race weekend! This was a C5 Z06, he owned it since new and always took excellent care of it before it was turned into a track and eventually a T1 race car.

The GTA cars are basically regular cars with a few stickers on it and a small tune. Why should we have to pay for that?

You won't. As stated before, and officially on their site, they'll be awarded after it's over, July 4th I think.

Free, provided you gold. The track has not been announced.

I bet when they release the track as Dlc a car pack will be included 💡 it seems to be the trend when Dlc comes out 1course 1car pack etc.
