I've been wondering, why is the appopriate age 21 to enter? I'm 19 and have my drivers license and might have what it takes to be a top racing driver. For now I'll never know, quite dissapointed to say the least..

I'm not sure, but maybe it's to standardise things worldwide? For instance, in the States you can only legally drink in public when you're 21. I dunno...
I'm so p....d off with myself! The best I could do was 83rd with a 1.32.794. I could have found at least another three quarters of a second, but just never put the lap together. Every time I had a better sector, I'd blow it elsewhere in the lap. Damn!
Ja it sucked. For me l was way off the pace. Have to invest in a steering wheel. l onl;y made it to position 167 then dropped at the end to 177. Next time l'l be prepared

I think it is because 21 is pretty much the legal adult age for all nations (in the U.S. you're an adult when you're 18 but you're still and adult when you're 21, for example). I also think it is because Nissan would prefer its competitors to at least have university studies or a few years' work experience rather than have nothing to fall back on if they get eliminated.
The Academy isn't the ONLY entry to being a professional racer, you know. Not to say that it won't be quite the experience!
