I have been thinking about his all day and need to get other opinions. Does anyone else here consider the gt all stars a pretty tough series? Even in a maxed out lm prototype I find that I can't get a huge lead. I mean I could back when I used aids but now that I have everything turned off the races are much closer, leads of only a second or two. I'm in no way complaining about this I guess I'm just trying to see if skid recovery really makes it that much simpler or if the series is really that much harder than others.

I personally would say FGT is harder, because for All stars, as long as you have the right car, it should be fairly manageable. The only real hard part is getting that right car.

No series is hard if you have the right car. I would say the Historic Car Cup was the most challenging

Well ok yes fgt is the hardest, in fact aside from the enduros it's the only series I haven't finished. Historic is also really tough. I guess what I'm really getting at is while all stars is manageable, it's much much harder when you turn all the assists off. I guess I just need to practice more. As far as the right car goes, I can name one car that I can't win all stars for the life of me with, and that's the r10. I have the hardest time with it in all stars.

Historic Cup because the AI is on steroids, and the FGT Championship because the FGT is a piece of crap to drive. :D

GTAS is actually quite fun, if you choose the right cars to race with.

A while back I used my R10 for the GT All Stars, it wasn't a good car to use, I'm not sure why but that car feels pretty bad.

I managed to win, however I lost on 2 of the events. I'll be doing it again soon.

I've beaten Historic, haven't really tried Formula GT or Dream Car yet (mostly because of their larger time commitment) and have had the devil's own time with GT Allstars, both with the R10 and the Minolta. LMPs and Trial Mountain do not mix.

I don't understand what people find so hard about FGT.
Everyone, including the AI has a stock car.
And as usual, when you have the same car as the AI, the AI suck.
For a competitive race, you need to put your FGT on worse tyres.

I found the FGT race pretty easy too. Got got some problems on Azur but since the AI in first and second came last and third to last on the nurb (At least two AI spun at each lap in the chicane.) I was able to not do Suzuka and still win the championship.

Like someone else said, its all about having the right setup. And if you want an easy race, simply use Race Softs.

I used a default car.
I expected the FGT race to be harder, but the AI just kept spinning at the Nurb.
I lapped them, and I don't even like that track.

It's probably the hardest as you get to it. Suddenly you need a race car, whereas a supercar has been more than enough previously. It seems like a massive step up, though once you get a race car it's pretty simple...

I have to agree this is one of the most challenging series in the game, great competion from the other cars.

I personally found the Historic to be overrated, yeah it is tough at first but while people were trying to find a '67 Ferrari or Ford '67 or even the 2J '70, I found that the '74 Countach with all the upgardes, SOFT Racing tires, and little practice and I was able to easily beat those 2 races.

All Star is pretty hard without the LMP/Group C cars, and without the seasonal event's payout before, and without grinding, when you get to All-Star you are not likely to get one of those....

FGT is hard because the races are long and the championship takes some stamina to do.

Historic was pretty easy once I got my hands on a Toyota 7 with soft slicks. After a bit of practice to get the feel of the car, beat Deep Forest (a favorite track) first try. Monoco took two tries -- benefited 2nd time around from the 2J starting 6th on the grid.
