Spec S2000 Championship

This championship will act as a competitive league. If not everyone is familiar with the "spec race" setup, a Spec-race is a race where everyone has the same car, mods, and tires. The car's Suspension, LSD and Aero settings can be changed to each driver's wants/needs.

I chose the S2000 because it is a fairly quick FR vehicle. Great for beginner to intermediate drivers. The car handles well, has decent tire wear, and it doesn't look too bad.

After each season, a new car will be chosen. A car that is faster than the previous. The event settings will remain the same, and the required modifications will remain the same as well.

Each season will consist of 11 Races. There will be one race per week. Each race will last about a hour long. If a driver has to miss a race, it's ok. They will receive 0 points due to a DNS (did not start). At the end of the season, each driver's best 8 results will be added up to decide the final standings. Their three worst results will be dropped. The dropped results may include DNS's. The points system will replicate the points system in GT5's GT Life Mode.

Honda S2000 '06

273hp (full break in)
1250kg

Sports Exhaust Manifold
Sports Intake Manifold

Chassis Reinforcement (optional)
Fully Customizable Transmission
Fully Customizable Suspension
Clutch: Twin Plate
Flywheel: Semi-Racing
Carbon Drive Shaft
LSD (optional)
Aero Parts, Oil Changes, and Rims are Allowed

Racing Medium Tires ONLY

The reason I chose the listed modifications is because they are the easiest to regulate. The three hp mods are the only three that don't change the data display in the race replay. Therefor race replays can get reviewed to determine if anyone's car is ineligible.

Qualifying will go as follows:

15 minutes before each race, each driver will be allowed however many laps he wants to post a time. Once a driver has entered the course, he will not be allowed to exit. After you have posted your time, please park your car off of the track. Again... Do NOT leave the track. Once the 15 minutes has run out, the race countdown will begin, and the drivers will start according to their lap times.

Clean Driving Enforcement

All drivers will be briefed before the race that we support a clean and respectful racing environment.

If there is a driver who does not respect others, drive clean, or just isn't what we are looking for, he/she will be blacklisted and will no longer be allowed to participate in the remainder of the season.

In race incidents will be encouraged to be reported to the race host. The host, admins, or other GT Elite members will investigate the incident. Consequences will be determined by the reviewers.

The reviewers will also determine if a incident changes the outcome of a race. If it is determined that the outcome (of the race) was altered by poor driving, the result will then be determined by the reviewers.

might be interested if tires were sport

Mr. spdu4ea

I agree with you, but you should not look down on this event due to the choice of tire.

But with myself being the person who runs this event, I also want to let you know why I went with racing tires.

This event is not aimed towards finding "elite" drivers, but drivers who want to race clean and smooth. I apologize if the title is misleading. We at GT Elite are not categorized as elite at all. GT Elite is a community of clean and respectful racing. I chose racing medium tires because not everyone can handle a 1300kg car on sports tires. I wanted to start this series off with a car somewhat easy to control.

Like I said, this event is not for the more experienced drivers, but they are welcome. This event is for people just getting into online racing, and who want to race clean.

This is not to say that GT Elite is a bunch of slow drivers. There is a lot of talent among us.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to stop by the website and check out what we offer.

Thanks,

Murk

Sounds like a something fun and competitive to do on a Sunday afternoon. I'll be there as long as I can find something for the GF to do while I race.
