Hmm... I'm in.

I'm gonna lap my newest aquisition - the Nardo Concept (3rd one) and the Amuse GT1 - it's still considered a tuner-car, not racecar. Then I'll run a slow-slow lap with a slow car. Has to be fun, though.. 'Vette Stingray.

And about the spoiler thingy - while I'm generally against it, since it gives some cars a disadvantage, there are some which have an unfair advantage without a spoiler - the Nardo, as an example, has adjustable downforce, and the Ford GT and TVR Speed 12 have +20 and +10 downforce extra, stock...

I didn't think I could keep it on the track, but got a good clean run.....it's a rebellion against the 'status quo'. :)

Hey GT3E! It's great to see you come around and do a lap for this race (as well as the deep forest run).
Hope you enjoy both of them.

As for updating the laptimes in this thread and the deepforest thread... I'm going to be able to take care of that tonight and over the weekend. I've got school today and then I've got to work so I may be a bit busy.
However, I don't work on weekends nor do I have classes.
So... Enjoy racing everyone! Try to get those times in before the update this weekend and expect that update either tomorrow or at latest sunday.
Till then,
-

I was thinking about the time GT3E made and it took over 3 times the horsepower
to beat the Suzuki GSX-R/4, now thats:scared:.

Well. :dopey:
Board updated to this post. 👍

Also, glad to see you in here GT3Emperor.
And GTPro, I see your Impreza time in your first post must have been wrong... You posted a 6'53, but then you posted a 6'54.??? and said you'd improved.
I just went with the 6'54 as it was the one you had said you improved on. 👍

Finally, I'm going to get some laps in with the Nardo pretty soon here and once I get that done I will certainly come back and update again.
Until then,
-

Spent about 350km in the one car to come up with this:

T1: 0'42.483
T2: 1'15.600
T3: 1'42.691
T4: 2'31.126
T5: 3'07.027
T6: 3'31.577
T7: 4'18.615
T8: 4'58.708
T9: 5'19.419
T10: 6'00.004
T11: 6'21.148

6'42.206 , Honda NSX Type R '02, 484hp, VTRacing

Fitted all allowed mods except the wing. With some downforce I reckon there's at least 5-10 seconds in there.

I tried a new car today, and I have to say that the Skyline's with high
horsepower don't have too much of a grip problem:sly:.

...What did I do now?

Let me go double-check, I've confused myself.

Edit: Change the rules to R2 or softer tires and I already got my next car picked. ;)

Yes R2 tires would be cool, but I think S3 tires are more fun because you have to work a little harder to get around the track clean.

No thats not it, he said it would be nice if we could use R2 tires.
But you could still use the Cosmo if you want.

I like S tires more than N tires, and R tires are just overkill on most cars.
Plus S tires are more fun to drive anyways:).

I'd like to see N3 tyres or harder ;) But I know Kent's thoughts on "Normal" tyres...

You sure about that? :mischievous:
I did an N3/S3/R3 TT that never took off and I also ran a ton of laps for the N2 production car Ring spotty. :D
I've got no beef with N tires, just the people saying they are the most realistic. :P

Want to let you guys know I'll be updating this race as well as the Deep Forest race tomorrow afternoon which hopefully means within 18 hours of this post.

Until I get the update in I suggest you all post anything you might not have posted yet. I would hate to see your times overlooked if they were posted just after an update. ;)

Until then,
-

Hello all,
I've finally found the time to update. :ouch:

A few times stuck out and those were in the 400hp range from the Skyline R34s and the NSX-R. Those are definately going to meet my roof cam skills. :P
:mischievous:
Until next time,
-
PS. mysterious rep to a few of you may have come from +rep for submission format. 👍 (I forget who all it was)

6'52.393 - 350Z GT4 Limited Edition - 472BHP - East

Was hopeing this car would be a bit faster than that, could probably take 2 or 3 seconds off, but I doubt I can get near AngelCreators Skyline with it. Maybe I will try a Skyline aswell :mischievous:

I would be glad to see you get a time:), but I have found a faster car to drive
I just need to get a clean lap. It's about 6 to 10 sec's faster:mischievous:.

ill give it a go again later on, cuz I can do it faster, I just have to brake less :sly:

Tried a couple of sports softs with the Callaway. No improvement as the car eats tires like you wouldn't believe. Went back to medium front / hard rear and was able to improve on my old time.

But Free-runs don't eat up tyres...

That's a great observation I over looked "gin."
m. pedigras,
Did you follow the directions of the race? ;)
Obviously not if you encountered tire wear.

Please switch to Sports Soft tires (as they will give you the best results and happen to be the most gripping tires allowed in this challenge).
Then try again and have fun! Good luck. 👍

Now for me... :D
I'm going to run a '99 MRS because I'd love to see how the Spirits MR-S from the best motoring Touge 200 Class would stack up.
