GT Pro Force Wheel Racers - Whats your drifting technique?

Hahahaha, pull the plug, eh? I tried that once, and it felt kinda wierd. Havent tried it with drifting though. You ever notice that once you get used to the wheel, you just can't use a controller anymore?

Yep. Sure, force feedback makes us all drool with glee but let me tell you, I've driven a Ford Excursion and it fought back a lot LESS than the DFP. :crazy: :scared: Last I heard when you're drifting the car doesn't feel like a Mack 18-Wheeler. With the cord unplugged you can really throw that wheel around, instead of having to muscle it just to make it turn. :sly:

Before you say the force feedback is realistic, I have driven a Toyota Supra(not mine)and all the effort I ever needed to make that sucker go around corners, even at high speeds, was one hand. I have driven cars with rack-and-pinion steering and 0 power steering, and they didn't need as much force as the DFP. :indiff: So I just unplug it and have a grand old time. :dopey:

if your trying to manhandle the wheel around while drifting, then your settings are wrong. i drift with one hand alot, cause the other is downshifting.
its not hard at all. put your power assists on and itll become easier.
while typing this, i was looking at my settings for the card im using at the moment and the active steering and power assists are off with FF on strong. its still easy.
just get used to the FF, itll help make you smoother than with the plug pulled. being smooth with the plug out for me is hard, cause i have no clue what is going on with the car via FF.

That'll come in handy when I find I have to drift a Mack truck in real life...

dude im telling you. turn the assists on if your that weak, then have at it. im using no assists at the moment and i have NO problems what so ever drifting.

Hahaha, easy with the insults. I can drift with no assists but for some reason I don't think I would need to battle a car that hard to make it drift. :scared:

Never mind. You were right, I was wrong. I just got back from a run on the Autumn Ring Mini and I performed some high angle drifts that would have been impossible to get with a DS2. Turns out I was doing the wrong thing, zigging when I should have zagged, and the wheel was trying to tell me that. Now its actually improving my drifts for me. :dopey:

LOL. well, its a start, although i have no clue what zigging and zagging are, but i assume it has to do with the wheel noise maybe?
but keep praticing, youll get lots better as you run more laps.
