A Porsche is much more fun to drive than a GTR. However in outright performance...a GTR will still be quicker.

I know why Porsche fans say "more fun," but I think it's just different. 997, F430, M3, GT-R... just like F-15, F-16, F/A-18, Mig-29, Su-27, who wouldn't want to fly any of them? Except I think only the Sukhoi has a Russian engine you can really abuse.

Anyway, I'd be just as happy with the GT-R on the box over the Mercedes, as cool as it is. I keep holding off on getting one because I'm hoping to gold for one - yeah, right. That and my Supra MkIII, but I keep holding off because I can't stay out of the used lot, and I need a big wad of cash.

One of these race wins though... I'm going shopping.

I was recently lucky enough to be taken for a passenger ride in a new GT-R. My own car is a MkIV Golf GT TDi. The Nissan blew my mind. So much so that my terms of reference are gone now. I didn't get to feel it's standing start acceleration but it's in-gear pull was immense! 80mph to 140mph was over in a heartbeat. What was even more impressive were the brakes. We pulled off a dual carriageway doing about 90 and we stopped in such a short distance and with absolutely no drama. I'll most probably never experience it's like again but I won't ever forget that day.

I´m not a big JDM or Tunner fan, but that car has earned my total respect. In a short, sharp turned track like Madrid Mini, it completly destroys my favorite cars like the ACR Viper, ZR1, SLS, M5, Ford GT and such with 100HP less. The incredible thing is the acceleration of that beast. You should´ve seen me the fist time I tested that monster on Madrid. I had an ear to ear grin. So far it is the only JDM car in my garage, and I just love it. Its funny how I have to actually look outside the car and see a Nissan logo to believe its a Japanese car.

You say the Nissan sounds like a jet plane, have you heard the Jag XJ13 fully modified? Its abolutely mental, and its fast as buggery as well. Its equalled my full modified GT-R SpecV 09 and Veyron on most tracks. Unbelievable car.

What do you mean ? In a real life GTR is putting to shame a bunch of cars with bigger engines, more power, and less weight, so yes, it is in a big advantage over everything, expecially non-japanese cars...

Yes, due to well-tuned AWD and electronic nannies that let unskilled magazine editors hustle it around a track or down a drag strip quickly. Will it beat true supercars around an actual racetrack? Not if they're driven by a capable individual. Lately I've been seeing it pull times 2-3 seconds slower around tracks than even a lowly C6 Z06.

I also wasn't impressed when I was at a trackday and one popped its engine on the straight in front of me, but reliability isn't a concern when driving a discount "supercar", right?

Yup. GTR Fans, just forget about the ACR, right? lol

Doesn't surprise me the GTR is still..... God? Afterall, it's like Swiss cheese having holes. Don't think about it, it just is and always will be.

The GTR is good for going Fast with an EZ Mode car.

RUF cars are Porsche with mods, they look the same, they have similar levels of power and the handling is basicly the same. Any differences aside these are basicly the same cars. In a game where cars are nowhere near accurate compared to a professional simulator (like the racing teams would use, Rfactor Pro for example) the difference would equal 0.

So yes, porsche are in the game, if you don't look at the badge.

Yeah sure, because the shape of a car totally dictates how it feels. The fact that RUF install all their own parts makes zero difference.

i fully modified the v-spec and the max HP is 826 horses. how did you get 868? i did full engine, turbo stage 3 and all the possible mods. tell me your secret.

My Spec V has 500km on the odo and is also at 868 at the moment. Either yours is new (engine not fully broken in) or needs an engine overhaul

Think I'll buy another one at some point. Was a lot more fun to stuff around with before I did weight reduction and body stiffness etc.

Also it does understeer once you have over 800Hp running through all 4 wheels lol

Not TOO hard to sort that out though. Lose the understeer and it becomes a REAL weapon.

I used it in the daytona like the wind and beat everything easily. Even the Escudo!

Yeah it's a sack of ****. I heard that when they drove it around the 'ring the first time it was timed they used the shortcut, that's the only way an overweight underpowered 'magazine-editor-friendly' overhyped unreliable discount 'supercar' like that could've gone so quick.

Just gopt me the Calsonic Skyline though and that is a basic monster...Added a few bits to tune it up more and its an animal and can easily catch the distant car )

Your R34 will be up to 797 BHP when you get some miles on it... You did the oil change before you did anything to it right?

I highly doubt it, you really need LMP type speed to do gt all stars.

I havent driven the standard GT-R, all i can say is that the GT-R Vspec is cheap for what you get. Its a Ferrari eater.
