Verstappen blew the field away, albeit there were only a handful of top level GT drivers in the race today - however I would imagine Max could give the very best a run for their money,
Must suck for people who have been driving this series on this track in these cars for years.
I thought this as well, though I reckon most, if not all, drivers would relish the challenge of racing against the world's best driver and the sport itself will massively benefit from such a high profile signing, just as Rossi has brought a massive new audience to GT as well. Long may it continue!

Reality: Nobody drives full throttle in NLS SP9 since having a good BoP is all what matters for the next Nür 24h. You'll always have some sandbags left. Porsche did it the other way round some years ago won all NLS races with Manthey "we're not sandbagging and trusting the BoP commitee for a fair and equal BoP" and got slapped hard at the N24 no chance of winning at slightest.

It's also important to mention what Aitken and Pepper did. Towards the end both of them overtook Auer under yellow, moving Auer into 6th place. Both got 3 penalty laps for that, however neither one went on to serve their penalty. Instead they kept driving infront of Auer. Later on both got a black flag for ignoring their penalties and still went on to stay infront of Auer.
If Aitken and Pepper would've served their penalties Auer would've been 4th, right behind his teammate Engel in 3rd, who surely would've let him pass for the championship. And while you could argue for Aitken that he was still theoretically a contender for the championship, Pepper lost his chance for the title after his DNF in the first race yesterday, so there was no reason at all for him to ignore the penalties and block the championship leader.

Güven being champion also doesn't sit well with me, even as a Porsche fan (which only Manthey uses in the DTM), looking at his move against Wittmann and also considering he only got into that good of a position after Preining kicked out the leaders of Race 1 and 2 towards the end at the Sachsenring, the previous race weekend before the final this weekend.

Really disgraceful way how the season and championship ended this year. Auer should've been the champion with Aitken and Pepper serving their penalties and Güven getting one for driving into Wittmann and forcing him wide into the corner.

Even if they served their penalties, Auer wouldn't have been champion. Even if Engel would have let him past (which would clearly be on team orders that are not allowed), P3 would not have been enough, Güven still would've have won the title by 1 point.

And for the move from Güven, i think its okay to not give a penalty. There have been a lot of similar hard moves this season without getting a penalty. Also the race director said that Wittmann moved under braking, making the space for Güven even smaller. Yeah it was a hard move, but it was within the rules.

Personally i wanted Rast to win another title, but the final race (weekend) itself was amazing to watch overall and when you win 5 races in a season (most of any driver in the GT3 era), it is kind of deserved i guess.
