LOL, that's great!

And they posted a pic of Dreamcast, and GT2...GT3's graphics are a ton better than GT2's...

God. Almost everything is being blamed on games.

That is just typical of 'survey makers' these days.
Always blaming the most ridiculous cause for anything.

I have been playing Gran Turismo games for years, and never ever been pulled over for speeding in real-life. In fact i have never been pulled over by the Police for anything!

I do speed a litle sometimes, and i like doing fastish takeoffs, but apart from when i did about 140 in Dad's Skyline, i haven't really gone over the speed limit that much.

Ha ha, it's great to see what kind of crap reporters can pull out of their hats these days!

that's funny, because it's not true (In my mind). I play GT3 from time to time and never have I been pulled over for speeding. Furthermore, that isn't really true because experts try to blame everything on videogames with so called "studies" that have not found any viable effects leading to things like speeding or violence in real life caused by videogames. I tend not to believe things like this.

The video game promotes reckless driving!" exclaimed Joan Turner, a concerned mother of three. "I see my children playing this game, and their sole view of the game is to ram into other cars as fast as they can! This is not acceptable!

Mrs. Turner might want to explain her kids the game's goal...

I think it has more to do with utilisation of the software, rather than the game's nature. Point is, there is nothing that can relate to driving on the streets in GT/GT2/GT3, everything takes place on a circuit, unlike certain games (*cough* GTA and TXR0 *cough*)

Might as well proclaim that Virtual Pool is a wreckless game, because you're hitting someone's balls with a stick...

Good one. I never thought of that.

I dunno... You guys have never had the urge to drive even a bit faster after playing Gran Turismo (or, frankly, any one of these games)? Frankly, I think it's only a human urge. And some of us are better than others at suppressing it.

I think people were speeding before GT. Not sure tho.

M5Power: I would drive the way I drive with or without GT. I just wouldn't be as good without it. :D

 I usually take my car into the woods around my house for a little rallying in the evenings. But I'm still not good enough. I blame the car, of course.

No, but I do feel the urge to go pick up some hookers, sell some coke, and kill some cops every-now-and-then after playing gta:vc.

Only game, movie, cartoon, etc. tha I'll blame for anything is Initial D. Too many ****ing 16 year olds nowadays think they're master drifters for some reason just because they watch the damn show. Some 16 year old on Supraforums, the other day, was saying something about some guy in a LS1 wanting to race him, but he was like, "Nah dood! I don't race! I drift!" I PM'ed him and politely asked him if he could slap the **** out of himself seeing as how I wasn't there to do it for him.

Well, you could still want to rally... it's the public that is depriving you of such fun.

True...if it weren't for them, I could "use the whole road" the way I'm supposed to! (I've actually thought this while driving). :D

But mostly I'm cursing the weather. MORESNOW4U

Absurd! YOU ACTUALLY KILL PEOPLE!?

Heh, if you check out some of my posts concerning my driving and general gameplay style in Vice City, you'll find I'm more than slightly docile.

You should come out here. Within these large forests on the outskirts of suburban Chicago, there are these dirt paths... totally perfect for rally. Until, of course, you misjudge a curve and smack into a tree.

We could use the snow... we haven't gotten any real snow storms yet. Considering this is my first (and probably my only) winter in Chicago, I'm slightly disappointed. I took a trip to New York recently and the stuff is everywhere. What's that about?!

I dunno...we're getting dumped on this season. I'm actually tired of doing donuts in empty parking lots already. :\

I tried that last month and a cop came into the parking lot and asked me if I needed assistance. :odd:

and why wouldn't it be found on the BBC? Something seems off here...

The date and time don't change because that's the date and time the article was posted; the BBC doesn't have it because the link you provided is to an external source wholly independent from the BBC which the BBC merely links to for less important stories, therefore the article is not an actual part of the BBC website.
