Here are my personal scores , and my magazine's.

I never bought GT1 but I have played it....

IMO its a horrid game, but hey thats me:)

I loved GT2 though, FANTASTIC game.

GT2 gets 8.5/10 from me

GT3 gets 8/10 from me............lack of cars (especially BMWs) really pissed me

GTC gets 8.7/10 from me......lots more Euros:)

If the Japanese get to have 400 of their cars in the Euros should get 400 too! 👍
 
How I would have rated them when they were released.
Based on the platform and intended content.

GT1 92%
GT2 95%
GT3 85%
GT4p 90%
 
The original Gran Turismo was the best in my opinion, it changed the 'driving/racing' game genre completely and made other developers take a long hard look at what they were producing.
It was also the reason I bought a Playstation and the reason I got back into gaming in general.

With the introduction of the Driving Force Pro to GT4P it looks like Polyphonic Digital are pushing the boundaries again...
Roll on GT4, and if you're wondering if the DFP is as good as everyone says - it is.
Go buy one.
 
Gt3 99%, my god, some people really are brainwashed. Can some one please explain to me how such a flawwed, boring and rushed game deserves 99%???

ok, gt1, at the time, 90%, now, about 50%
gt2, at the time, 93%, now, about 60%
gt3, at the time, 83%(TBH I was just going "omfg this looks good"), now, about 70% (sorry, its too damn boring)
gtc, at the time 85%, now, 85%
gt4p, now 75%, it's good, but 5 tracks soon gets very boring, but if gt4p had 100 tracks, and 500 cars, and tuning etc, I'd probs give it about 92%
 
Based on period after they'd be out a short while.

GT1 = 95%
GT2 = 90%
GT3 = 86%
GTC = 88% (Prefer this over GT3)
GT : P = 80% (Mainly due to lack of content).

Many who have owned GTC see it as a better product than GT3. Why is that? I was never able to import it.

  • Well the graphics are better than GT3, look sharper & a bit better in general.
  • The handling was overhauled & better than GT3's.
  • Interesting car selection (Well 2002 PAL version).
  • Autumn Ring is a great track (Also Pod circuit ;)).
  • Although tuning isn't anywhere near as comprehensive as GT3's, it does have some which is better than GT : P's complete abscence (GTC also has 2 player mode unlike GT : P)
  • I also think it feels more polished than GT3.
  • Jaguar S-Type R is good laugh to drive, it loves to go sideways around every corner :D

This is all based on my opinion though, others may disagree. :)
 
GT1=9.1/10

GT2=9.6/10

GT3=8.0/10

As you can see, after the visuals stopped dazzling me, GT3 was quite a letdown. I only play it for screwing about with settings and doing hotlaps. I stopped trying to beat it after 90 percent.

If they bring back racing mods, the used car market and american muscle cars, then I'm going to be one happy camper. :)

Anyone who thinks that this game gets boring after a while has not tried the weekly race series.
 
Question though. How can you rate GT4P is that isn't even the full game. I suggest playing the full game before making scores. There might be things in GT4 that might piss some off.

GT1= 97/100

GT2= 99/100

GT3= 80/100

GTC (preview)= 86/100

GT4P (preview)= 91/100

Because we're rating GT4P as a game/demo on itself? We're not judging GT4 by gt4p.

No, that's not true. I'm rating it by what it was intended to be. So the low amount of content is understandable. I rated it as a demo.

Its Had more play than many full priced titles ive bought.
It gives me more enjoyment than GT3 does now!
It encouraged me to spend yet more money and Buy the DFP (which I do not regret).

Rate It.
But rate it as 'The Advanced Skill School' as it says on the Box.
GT4P was never intended to be a full game.
 
GT 1 - 90 (Great Soundtrack and really blew up what you could do in a racing game)

GT 2 - 99 (This is THE game!! The finest videogame ever produced in my opinion)

GT 3 - 91 (Graphics are great, physics are great, game balance is meh)
 
Okay so now that GT4 is out for pretty much half the world and much of GTP has the game I want to brush the dust off of this thread and see what we you rate GT4 will the others.
 
GT1 - 85% (Only really played Arcade w/ friends)
GT2 - 90% (Poor graphics and quite a few bugs, but one of my favourites of all time)
GT3 - 75% (Meh)
