i was thinking that it might be cool if pd set up acontest where anyone could enter one of their cars in order to show it to other users and win money/xp. it could be in the format of the real show
that could happen but it would also be cool if through an update they sold the winners in the online car dealership and every time your car was sold youd get x number of funds
But you can't really change much visually on a car in GT5 apart from rims, a spoiler and a paint job. On some premiums you can add a splitter, bigger rear bumper, side skirts and small winglets at the front but you really need in-depth customisation options for this sort of thing.
Livery editors are really not my thing, I like cars totally stock. However in the case of the idea put forward by the OP and the amount of people who've bought GT5 and wish to customise a car to their specifications, I'm all for PD implementing a decent visual mods option.

for me if there was a livery editor it would take the place of race modification and make people who want rm'able cars to be the only cars a possibility now instead of doing rm you can throw on body kits and paint to give your car the feel of a racer

I like this idea of selling your cars through the online car dealership. Its going to be like an MMO game marketplace.
Going back to the OP, its a great idea too, but in order to make it happen, we need more visual modifications and more ways to customise our cars. Its a fine line though, it has to be in the same PD standards and not turn into a arcade racing. If we get more options to customise our cars, those add-ons should really affect the car in the game when you drive it.
i can see that being a problem, however kaz will not implement an idea if its not in his overall vision for the franchise. that said if we do see something like this in the future i think he'll realize that the game does need an editor to pull it off. and as you were saying i couldnt quite understand what you meant about " it has to affect your car in game" paint wouldnt change anything and the body kits we have already affect downforce so what would change?
