Can't you narrow it down to ten different cars each on a different track? We can call it "Talentless' Time Trials"

Do we submit the resume to you? I don't think you have the patience to sift through 10 different players submittals. Let alone find a top dog.

As a side note, the qualifying isn't supposed to be more of a competition than the race. A scaled back version of this could be the race itself, with three races to line up a ten player showdown.

So, I can't lessen that problem, pick what you want. You could have such great times that even ppl with more variety could lose.

Modified unmodified applies if you decide to follow my design, you can run what you want in yours.

Yes, I have the patience. I know I won't get a lot, and I have a deadline near a week before december.

This is not simple qualifying, it is a skill test. I simply just don't want to go through weekly races. I'm building a team to represent us, I must make sure it is strong. What better way than to make the qualification tougher than the race in some sense? Think about it, it does make sense. But, like i've said, just send what info you what, I will look over it.

Ty. Just remember that you can consider the races as guidelines. All that is non-negotiable is that if you do some or all of the events i've picked, they will not be modified to another tire or car.

Just state in your message if the race is as it was laid out by me.

Damn, this is the upmost form of professionalism that we all could possibly display here! This statement is also all the motivation that we should need! Nice work T! I shall do my best and I would hope that my fellow members of HSB Racing Tech to do the same!
 
i am so damn confused

how are you going to compare two people when one has run a pagani and an nsx at one course when the other ran a civic R and a 787 at another??????


shouldnt there be some SET races one must compete in so competition stays fair?!

why dont you set 10 cars and 10 tracks so everyone is running the same cars at the same venues???

also, wtf do you mean only do as much as you want?

how is this any sort of competition at all if everyone is just running what ever car they want where ever they want????
 
It is not exactly a competition over who does best in a given race. it is to see how varied you are. but I will consider a new challenge design.

Are the tracks you want to see us use the same tracks as the ones in the Time Trials?

First, buy or win these cars if you do not already have them:

Integra Type R
NSX '97
Camaro SS
Daihatsu
Viper GTS
Elise 190
RX-7 type RZ
Lancer Evo 7 RS
Ruf RGT
Impreza Sedan WRX STi
Falcon XR8 Race Car
Supra RZ
Tuscan Speed Six

Race Cars: Any JGTC NSX, Castrol Supra, (Arcade) Oreca Viper, Toyota GT one, (Arcade) TVR Speed 12

Fully modify them and run them on the courses (when possible) in TT for 3 laps forward and reverse (when possible) .
 
Ok this sounds like fun Im just going to copy paste your carlist to a .txt file so I can look at it while im offline :)

And thats any track accessed in the TT option, but in free run, what about the rallys?
 
Remember, not every car can race Tahiti Maze, so the undertaking is a bit less, than what some may expect, right there.

Oh, and feel free to send any other additional data. your TT times, endurance consistency. whatever.

yes, run each car on each track for 3 laps both ways when possible. 3 consecutive laps in free run or any races using the venues that has at least 3 laps. remember that replays can be off on the lap times, so get them early.
 
Consistency:

Person A and B race seven laps

A
Between lap 1 & 2 is a difference of .7; 2 and 3: 1.2; 3 and 4: 1.4; 4 and 5: 1.3; 5 and 6: 1.4; 6 and 7: 1.5

B
Between lap 1 & 2 is a difference of .9; 2 and 3: 1.5; 3 and 4: .6; 4 and 5: 1.8; 5 and 6: 1.0; 6 and 7: 1.5


Person A is using the T1 tires.

Person B is using T4 tires.

Person A is lapping .25 seconds slower than Person B.

Based on this I can conclude that person A is not only more consistent, but most likely would be faster than person B on equal tires.
 
It basically says that the time difference is less radical for Person A.
 
OMG! I just read this and there is absolutley no way I'm in, sorry I would have loved to represent GTP this time round as I missed the chance last time(and I do consider this my 'home' :) ) but I just don't have the time, and my GT3 days are almost over anyway, time to hang up my joypad.

Talentless you already know who the skilled and committed racers are around here, but I'm not sure about there being 8! why don't you just keep your eyes open in the challenges and see who's got potential and then personally invite them to be part of the team, you already know the obvious choices will be in;) maybe, just a thought, you got carried away again somewhere down the line :p Thats just my opinion though don't take offence. I am not critisizing you in any way, I admire your efforts and determination and hope you get a team together whatever way you do it good luck! :)

Anyway good luck to all who represent gtplanet, I'm sure we'll do better than last time round ;)

Afraid so MIH ;) It was fun while it lasted! and maybe the odd quick lap every now and then from the fast b!tch! but no more comps :)

I'll be back for online GT4 though you can count on that!! 😈
 
Any JGTC NSX

There's no comma after JGTC. You can try out the car if you want, but hard to compare when so few have it.

Kelly thats going to be in 2 years........:(:cry: Kelly, I know what you and Ron have decided on, I respect that but I really will miss racing with the both you, I love you both more than you know.

Talentless - man screw that consistancy crap, full fledged go as fast as you can, as clean as you can stuff.
 
Of course, Zero, but I am just saying it is what I will be looking at. I mean, if a guy gets 1 good laps out of ten, and another stays the course at a consistent pace, he's more reliable. Consider that if most of the laps of the first guy are bad I have to ask myself if he's really the best choice because his one good lap was the fastest overall. I've beaten you a few times, but I think it's right to say you're faster. I consider it a gamble to choose someone who just seems to have had a lucky lap.
 
Actually, I'm having to keep making changes because of all the complaints. Look, it's really simple. Either run the races or send me a resume or both. A third option is to just send me your Time Trial times.

Just look at post 36 for race details.

send me settings and car stats if available.

race information: t1, t2, lap. that stuff. you can skip the data analyzer, too time consuming. but if you want to send it, go ahead.
 
Don't get testie with me MISTER! I was just curious, and I'm not the one complaining. I was all willing to do everything that you had asked for, but I see that EVERYONE else is complaining and a post by you that said there might be some changes.
Don't take your frustrations with them out on me please.
