GT3 Comercial, What the F#@&?

Last night I saw a commercial for GT3. Theres abunch of S class cars going around what looks like the superspeedway. The Arta NSX pulls over stops, a driver gets out walks into the live (Non Digital) Grandstand, and kisses some chick. Then they say GT3, the drive of your life.

What the hell is this comercial trying to say?
 
I found those GT3 commercials stupidly dumb as well. I mean this game is so awesome and the commercial sucks like crap! They need to make a new one. At leasy let people see how cool the game is.
 
Well guessing that both u guys are in the US, all I can say is US television stinks! :D :D

Over here in England I've seen 2 different GT3 adverts...

1> Dodge Viper in replay mode, whizzing around in the wet weather, pulling 180degree hand-brake turns etc, looks amazing.

2> Some car (I dunno wot) in chase view, stops by the side of the road with the sun glaring, birds singing and a few tail enders passing. Followed by some caption about GT3's realism.. (can't actually remember wot it says. :p)

Both have got me dying for this game though, which is why hopefully I'll have it by the end of the week! :)
 
Well at least somebody has good GT3 commercials. Ours rott like crap! I wish we had cooler ones. GT2's were pretty good though. :)
 
We in here Finland has same GT3 commercials that TopGun said, they look very great, here is also third commercial where blue mitsubishi (not sure) makes handbrake turn on deep forest track
 
Ever make your own home movies? (if you know what i mean. don't wanna say it cause it might offend small children like ViperConcept). I do. They don't have commercials though. That's half the reason for my TV. Other half is PS2 of course.
 
Does anyone have a Quicktime or AVI of them? I checked adcritic.com and they don't have the GT3 commercials ...

Australia had a third commercial where the little red Belgian race car (can't remember the name of it) sails into the barrier at the end of the pit straight of the Tokyo circuit and sits there watching the city skyline (which does look pretty impressive) as the rest of the field streams past - similar to the Deep Forest ad with the Vanquish.

The car that stops is the Aston Vanquish. It's on the open section running along the valley side in Deep Forest Reverse. Car just stops after the second tunnel and sits there. Very cool. The line is something like "It's not just the cars that are breathtaking in GT3"

The other British ad that I like if for the PS2 itself, where a car runs into a deer, and totally folds up. The deer walks off, and you get the black screen with the words "Difference Place Different Rules", then a view of a PS2 console with the "The Third Place" strapline.

Sony UK's ad people have totally tapped into the market here I think.
 
dude - the sony PS2 ads in the UK are utterly a bunch of @rse!! Third place. Wierd david lynch twin-peaks style rubbish!!

The stuff for PS1 - never underestimate the power of playstation - was awesome and this campaign is so totally disappointing.

In fairness, the GT3 stuff is very good though - especially the Vanquish pulling over to admire the scenery.
 
Those Japanese commercials are...ahhh...suckulent. I guess Sony figures either you know already or don't care at all. Hrm....

I don't think I've seen the US commercials. :confused:
 
Not sure if the US GT3 TV ads are the same as the ones we get in Canada (probably), but I've seen two:

1 - Mitsu Rally Car (Tommi's) pulls over on Smokey Mountain corner, rally-suited driver gets out and moves a bunny rabbit off the dirt road, hops back in and drives off.

2 - Fiat Coupe pulls over on Cote d'Azur and race-suited driver runs into stall in public washroom. Two suspicious-looking guys come in, yelling and checking the washroom for 'stashed' goodies, and when they check the stall, the driver ducks between them and runs out. Car burns off up the sunshiney hill.

Anyone see these? Sure they're kinda wacked, but they're more interesting than most of the crap commercials on TV... :)
 
Has anyone found copies of these commercials? They sound pretty funny to me. I'd like copies 'for the archives' (:

.... "someone"? BEAUTIFUL GIRL! Man I'd do the same thing. It'd be so awsome to come flying around the track with a (substantial lead), pull over, run into the grand stand, kiss your woman (and pinch her butt), and run back to the car. Think off all the attention THAT would get!
