Does anyone have a list of or be willing to provide me with a list of cars that are conidered GT3, GT300 and GT500, except for those that specifically have either designation in their name, I am clueless.:confused:

Well GT3 is any car that has GT3 in it as well. There are the Audi LMS and Audi Team Phoenix as GT3 cars. These cars sometimes participate in the Japanese GT series but are all built with less regulations than the JGT cars, but they are all capped for some form of equality.

For GT300, look for any japanese car that has around 300hp and is in full race livery. The Mazda's in Re Amemiya are GT300. Power ouput and weight is not as good as the GT500 sets but is still decent. The Subaru BRZ R and D is a Gt300 class car as well.

The GT500 class is completely dominated by 3 cars and 3 makers, the GTR by Nissan, the SC430 by Toyota/Lexus and the HSV by Honda. Top class the Super class, and those 3 cars are in the game, albeit with different livery and such but are all usually the same.

There are also older GT500 cars, I don't know their full name but there are NSX, Supra, Skyline GTR, Nissan 350Z and IIRC a Diablo.

In real life GT3 cars can be modified to race in GT300 class in Super GT in Japan. Z4 GT3, Audi R8 LMS, Nissan GTR GT3 and Mercedes SLS GT3 are all in Super GT in some form....

The Recommended car dealership helps. There's the "Super GT" gallery (both GT300 and GT500), and GT3 cars can be found in the "Touring Cars" gallery - all GT3s are RWD and usually have "GT3" in the name.

I'm sure there's more Standard Super GT/Japanese Grand Touring Championship cars, but I know nothing of the series and don't have GT6 sitting in front of me at the moment.

I own alot of the GT300 cars
the Wedssport Celica is a very good fast and stable car right out of the box at it's only 200,00. THe Suburu BRZ Gt300 base model and the RX7 Gt300 base models are both stable and well handling. The Lexus IS350 GT300 base model and Weds Sport handles well but they need a little tuning on the tranny to make them faster
A good cheap alternative is the Nissian C west Razo Silvia @ 75,000 but it has a lil bit of unsteer to me and I upgraded to engine tune #3 cause it was a tad slow at 490 pp

out of the 3 Gt500 cars I own I prefer my Lexus SC430 GT500 Base model. Its is very stable and handles well. The Honda NSX GT500 Base model and the HSV-110 base models I own are a tad faster than the Lexus but both need alot of tuning and they aren't as predictable to drive as the Lexus in my opinion

I used this car in the GT3 and GT300.....tuned it to meet the PP......

Thanks. I'll go with the Lexus Base model in both GT300 and GT500. I am not that good a driver or tuner, so I need a stable car.
When it comes to GT3 I think I'll go with the Nissan GT3 Base Model, it looks to be the same as the Schultze Motorsports, and I loved that in GT5.

... All of them? I was thinking of getting one. Quite liked the one in GT5. Is it way off that one?

I'm not sure if the GT5 version that's in GT6 is the same as I've not driven it, but if it's anything like the '12 version then get ready for no rear end grip whatever you do. I'd suggest going for the SLS, it's got a ton of mechanical grip and with some setup tweaks it's a really well balanced car with no big surprises. Just a shame it sounds so crap compared to the real thing, but what doesn't in GT?

I really wish Kaz/PD would firmly define and even add to the "racing car" catagories. If memory serves in GT5 there is a touring car that is not allowed in toruing car races. In fact, I did not notice a "Touring Car" catagory in GT6. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

I had hoped for a long time PD would bring all the international GT FIA cars to Grand Turismo series. I think it would create a lot of racing fun for all skill levels of racers. For example the standard modeled Team Oreca Vipers, and the Corvette C5R are FIA GT race cars. I think they are actually GT1 catagory. There are even Ford GT variants that compete in FIA GT1, 2 and 3 classes. I'd like to see all of the cars that participate in the FIA GT.
But first things first. How about insuring all the cars currently in the game have the proper catagories and are able to race in those catagories.

As for the Audi GT/LM's the new models drive like pigs. I have always been told that 45 front/55 rear was a very good balance for mid/rear engine cars. It seems in GT5 and GT6 any car with a rear weight bias is destined to perform like a tail happy fish. I realy hope PD/Kas perform a "Ninja Edit" on each mid/rear engine car in the game and help the handling come closer to the way it should be. If GT3 Audis drive as they do in this sim/game Audi is in serious trouble.

Did it in my second playthrough. I used the Subaru BRZ 300GT the first time....the Audi was on the elgible car list so I gave it a try..it was a fun experience..
oh boy, PD has got to tweak the PP system so that only certain cars can enter a race. Though that Audi kinda does look like a Super GT car

PD has got to tweak the entry system so that only certain cars can enter a certain race. If it's a Super GT event only Super GT cars or those that pretty much are Super GT cars (ie Stealth NSX,GTR etc.) can enter, Same goes for the GT3 events. Blood*Specter is spot on about this.
On a side note, that Audi does look a bit like a Super GT car

Thank you (again) - I trhink the reason the Lexus SC430 GT500 Base model handles so well and is so stable is that it actually drives like a 4WD - to me it resembles the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro. I love both cars 👍👍
