Very good and thorough guide @Mistah_MCA. This will help a lot of folks struggling at this track. And lowering traction control is very important for better exits and faster speed. Good luck this weekend folks. DT Gardens requires a lot of attention and focus otherwise you'll be up a creek without a paddle. Serious trouble and not so good lap times.

I did see a few onboard laps of the top ranked players. One thing that struck me with surprise was their cars weren't sliding much when making turns or during turns when braking.

I've kept no assists on but SH tyres is my Achilles Heel when it comes to TT. I love this Tt & it's a great challenge altogether but don't know how to get the best out of the Audi without making the car slide when negotiating turns.

Steering straight and smoother on the brakes and accelerator, remember the replays are a little brute force when it comes to being input accurate.

Edit: for example ABS isn’t shown as an independent part of the braking sequence.

Especially coming from the RE Amemiya, I felt like the Audi was understeering quite a bit. The Audi likes to gently trail brake in and then you sorta have to force it to rotate by “steering w/brakes” as they say. Some sliding won’t hurt; sector 1 I’m sliding that thing into the first turn and it’ll feel floaty with just enough grip to make it around. Hairpin starting sector 2, however is where you can get a feel for how to brake with this car as its free of sausage kerb distractions 😆

And that's me done for this TT. Really really good opening 2 sectors but a bit of time loss at the final corner as I was making sure of the setup before I powered out, so there was a slight mid apex hesitation as a result.

Since I use DS4 & left analog stick for acceleration & braking, trail braking is something that I've not had the pleasure to incorporate in my driving style. Seems I need to shift to L2/R2 buttons for braking & accleration. Using them can surely help with trail braking.

Also thinking of using motion sensor for turning instead of right analog stick but TT is not the place for me to adopt this. Have to spend many hours to change my adaptability around these.

It's RUINED (in this factory Audi Exclusive colour Samtviolett)! RUINED!

Dang, it's eye-rolling I aim for :D
Yeah, it is indeed. But really, I just think it is fine to use it from time to time, but some paints on some cars looks really strange.

Ok, I am sorry for hurting feelings, lets cleanse the palate with a bit of marketing excercise about Subaru BRZ Series Purple: "Purple radiates daring sports car style from every angle with a new paint color as exciting as its handling."

Apologies I didn't get time to post! Been a heck of a 2 days at work but here's the guide for those that may have missed it!

Thanks a ton Mate. Some interesting tips, gear choices & braking references in Your lap guide especially for the last set of 4 right handers. Love this track too.

I provide a service to my employer, in Gran Turismo I like winning, lol.
You should get paid for every #1 lap you pull off. I wonder what your secret is, I know you have the wheel and fancy setup. But you have other special abilities too for gt7, or basically any racing game. Your replays always storms each TT with style and fury!

Keep up the outstanding work. Will we get another Olympic or special TT like we did in 2023? We got several special TT's, even one lasted for a month. Those were fun and addicting for me to play, that's why I'm asking about it.

Had a break from time trialing, because it was getting harder and harder to motivate my self.
I often had the pace for a good result, but mostly ran out of skill over a complete lap. 🙄😂

Yesterday i was feeling like driving some laps again and fired up the PS5 to see, if there is something nice to throw around.
And hell yeah... Audi R8 4.2 🤩🤩🤩, one of my absolut favorites from GT6.

It took some time to figure out how to make the car work at some parts, but damn it's fun. 🥰

And my pace seems to be "ok" too...

Yeah good.... the other german is back too, glad to have you back, real good for my mo
Leaderboard to 🤣🤣

Great time as always!

every time I launch a new session at Dragon Trail I have to burn the first 5 laps re-learning how to get the R8 to turn. I'm on the cusp of gold now but man, this is another one that's supposed to be "easy" that I'm not at all finding so.

Yeah. Getting into the rhythm is important. I drive the first 2 or 3 laps in A/T to get into the rhythm & then switch to M/T.

A quick trip to the “garden” tonight...

That should be enough, since Tidge was aiming for 1' 45.3xx.
But I have an optimal time of 45.0, so I'm going to push to get under 45...

I only did 72 km tonight and the new car only has 224 km on it... that's very little for me, since I need to drive a lot to get a good time...

But I absolutely have to improve my second sector... I'm skidding way too much...
