OH my god, yesterday I bought an I.Link hub and had some of the best GT3 experiences ive ever had. I managed to get 4 Ps2`s hooked up (it would have been 5 if not because of space and cabling issues). Every single race we had was a screamer, even the Test course race was interesting everone was drafting each other. We had to pretty much pick very simmilar cars to keep the racing close. One of the best races was an A class race On Cote`dAzur and one insane race we had was 2 GT-Ones and 2 787bs on ssr5 wet. I advise people to go and buy the hub and get all your GT3 friends to play together. Next time im gonna try for the whole 6 player gonna be sooooo coool :D

I know 5 people who have PS2`s and GT3 im trying to covince another friend to buy a PS2 and GT3. He might have been conviced cuz he was there when we were racing. TV`s are annoying to transport I ended up running down the road with my "14 Portable to my friends house (Keeno_UK) down the road.

Hey, I would love to be able to get in on that. Direct live comparison of skills sounds awesome

Where is keeno_uk anyway?? I haven't seen him here in a while, maybe I just haven't been paying enought attention....

ahhh he hasnt had enough time off to skive looking at this forum but it is helluva good thing to do, In two weeks time were going to inhabit my friends garage with 5 Ps2s and 5 Pc`s. But im gonna need to buy longer Firewire cables though

that sounds gud my friend... hey do u have to buy a hub and buy cables seperat or do u get cables wiv the hub am i jsut way off !?

yes I was the one that hosted it at my house everyone respect my dad because he helped us look for extra power leads instead complain about the mess anyway I got about half the stuff on tape and soon I will be able to get this stuff on the computer grab some shots and let you guys have a look at the shear scale of wiring we used

Yes, please get some MPEG files or something showing live game play and some nice footage of replays. That is killer dude!! And welcome back to the forums, keeno_uk!! :cheeburga

Listen, tuscan my friend you should try the driftin challenge (more info look at post) about i link driftin, i think any GT3 DRIVER should try it if they have access to the resources its well worth it.

Do you get to run qualifying laps for position, or is it determined by the order that you sign on?

Rick

No you cant qualify you have to get your positions by logging on. The last person seems to always get first place.

You can buy the hub seperately, but I got one from Electronics boutque with 6 cables supplied

god its gonna be hard converting the mpeg file but I will try
guess I will use windows movie maker or something just as simple

Well first, how do people normally get their replays on the web anyway?? I will go for MPEG, DivX AVI's, I don't care. I just want to see some real action for a change!!! I may be able to help you with the converting if you let me know what you have to work with.... :D

Sounds cool! If my friends wouldn't suck that much at GT3 I'd give I.linking a try myself...

What do you mean thats my job you dont even have a hub sucka

Yeah the wide View should be just like Ferrari F355 challenge (one of my other fav racing games)

Well, keeno_uk, do you have all the necessary tools to get some video on the internet??? I will patient and wait for this, I think it will be well worth it. Good day!! :burnout:

Here's a wild thought...

I think that one TV can be just for spectators to watch the race from different views... If so, wrap your minds around this one :p

Connect a TV In/Out Cable from the TV to your computer. Of course you have to have a pretty decent video card with the capabilities and connections. Then you just run a little program to capture the video feed from the TV. That way you can just record a whole race. That would also end the dreaded time/memory limit of replays imposed by the PS2.

What do you think??? It's just a thought you know 😈

yes it is a good idea but better to use a tv card and just record the videos like that but I don't have a video card

The I-Link in my opinion is crap...only allows you to race as the arcade cars (unless I am missing something?) and you can't even race 2 player mode with the rest of the arcade cars (takes out lots of fun when you have a faster car then them)

But that I-Link was totaly a waste of 15$ in my opinion
