I know there is a Simulated Time Attack challenge in GT4, but there is none for GT3. The rules are the same as the normal Time Attack Rules, but you can upgrade the cars as much as you like:). These are the rules, incase you did not know:

1. At least 2 wheels on the track at all times
2. Same car/track combonations as in the real time trials
3. There are no time limits to get your times in
4. The top 3 drivers have to supply necessary proof; if proof is not posted in
2 weeks the time is deleted

5. If your replay is requested, it must be shown in 2 weeks; the replay
can be within 1 second of the time posted

6. No cheating
7. No hybrids

Once you get a good time, post it on this leaderboard:

You know this would be a bit more intriguing if you allowed hybrids. We could post our hybrid mods and times. We could even limit the hybrid method to weight and engine swaps or something like that. If you wold like to discuss this shoot me a PM and I will help facilitate.

I have been thinking about it and I have a coupke of ideas. Let's restart or edit the thread. I say we allow the change of engine to any production engine. No F1 engines. Engines must be stock. No power modifiers. No weight modifiers. etcetera. I say we require the posting of the Hybrid Notepad file to check the eligibility of each car, after the time is posted. Just let me know.

OK, we will restart the thread. I will also give limits for HP and weight, and we will give a threshold time, which is a time limit. If you beat that time, you
have to supply proof.

I was thinking something along those lines as well. The car should be somewhat realistic. Engine and transmission swaps, but 10 million horsepower and 4.2 kilos is just out of the question.

Yep. I will edit the table for it. Can you think of a limit for the Viper GTSR Concept, because I don't have it.

horsepower-wise? I think it is a self fulfilling prophecy if you want a million horsepower then traction is gonna stink. Or if you are talking time, refer to the Leaderboard and see if a fast lap that applies has been recorded. I need to get to work on my cars. I have several ideas already.

Adam I have been really busy for the last couple of weeks, but I still want to do this series. I will try my best to send you a PM by the weekend. I don't think that it has to be super complicated, but we probably need a couple of people to help be stewards of the compettion so when we are reviewing Hybrid files we can turn around the results quickly.

Volunteers?
