gt3 vs gt4

Yeah gt3 is a good game and its good to drift in the cars look awesome and all that. But whats gt4 like are the cars much batter can you drift like you can in gt3. Does any one have gt4 how is it can you customize you cars gracpics and decals and things like that. :) WHICH OF THE 2 ARE BEST?
 
I have trouble hearing the engine in GT4, so it is a right pain in the ass when changing gear, cos I rely more on the noise rather than watching the rev limiter.

GT4 soundtrack is marginally better...but still crap
 
I feel that GT3 had much more clearer environmental graphics (due to them being simple ofcource!).........and I also think the music soundtrack was better with all those great feeder songs!

.....Was upset that some tracks are not in GT4 like Rome and SS11

I agree, I was really disappointed without the Rome track, but was pleased to see that SS11 had gone, cos I hated it :crazy:

There are also too many variations of the Fuji Speedway in GT4 which could've been taken out to include classics like Rome, Smokey Mountain Rally Track, and Red Rock Valley Speedway from GT2
 
GT4 is harder to drift in, because of the new physics. It is still possible, but there is a lot of snap understeer (when the car spins out when exiting a drift, i think). The sound track is, at best dreadful. I turned off the music and played some on my computer.

No, you cant customize things like that. The only visual customization is the addition of new wheels or a wing. I think that GT4, once you get used to the new physics engine, is the better game, it is so much bigger!
 
You know, I liked GT3 much better.
As far as gfx, I feel the same too. GT4 supports 1080i and all kinds of new stuff but it doesnt look good for some reason. It has a grainy look with a washed out color effect too. Is it me, or are the jaggies pretty damn bad in 480p/i?

gt4 pwns gt3.. But there are still flaws in the phsyics system. Graphics are much better, driving is much more responsive (too responsive with most cars).

LFS S2 alpha just came out so GT4 is getting a rest. :) much more realistic and fun to me.
 
You might think that I am braindead but the first thing that came on my mind when I played gt4 was... ARCADE. It has much better grafics than the previous game but my personal opinion is that gt4's control sucks. Personally I am a drift lover and I didn't get that pleasure from gt4. My vote goes to gt3.
