Hello mates! lol. Haven't posted in quite some time. Been browsing over the GT5 news lately though, can't wait for it to come out! But anyway, those that don't remember me will probably remember my last car:

2000 Nissan Sentra SE

Sold it a little over a month ago to my mom, because she needed a new, reliable daily driver. So I bought myself a new toy:

1990 Mazda Miata. When I first picked it up, it had cross drilled/slotted rotors, EBC Green Stuff pads, Tokico shocks/lowering springs and braided brake lines.

Here it is today with the above items still installed, plus:
-Flyin' Miata Voodoo II turbo kit @8-9psi, 170whp.
-15" Kosei K1 Racing wheels, Kumho Ecsta AST tires (all season, AWESOME)
-Competition Clutch HD kit w/Flyin' Miata 10lb flywheel (not installed yet)

This is what it looks like at the moment. Some a**hat hit me. Insurance already payed for it (didn't total the car) and I ordered the parts on saturday. So in a couple weeks it'll be good as new.:)

Ahh, Gen-I Miata's are my favorite. Looking good and seems to make perfect power at the wheels. 170 is plenty enough to get that thing moving quickly. 👍

Speaking of roadsters, I am currently looking for an Gen-3 MR2 Spyder. I've been doing research for a while and though they are underpowered, they are actually somewhat of a rare car. I wanted an MX-5 for a long time but Im really picky and would want a 1994 with the few minor changes from the earlier Gen-1 models.

Anyways though, great looking Miata (especially for a '90). Its not a chick car, its a "driving enthusiasts" vehicle.

Lovely NA8C. It's one of the car's i'm considering for my next, after my Nova's had it.

Mmmm... I want. I want a lot of cars, mind you, but I really want a Mk1 MX5 (/Eunos/Miata). Not a huge fan of the wheels - I prefer the stock ones, but that's just a personal preference. Looks nice and tidy!

Someone actually said "chick car" to me on saturday when I was leaving a gas station. :)

Ask them to race. See what they think after you drive circles around their car.;)

Miatas are quick. Stock. I can't imagine what this little devil could do.

Well, let's just say that I had the second fastest time at the last autocross. Was only one tenth of a second slower than an old Fiat with rotary power and slicks.👍

I have a set of 1994-97 stock wheels that I plan on powder coating gloss black to use as my racing set of rollers.

Man, if I had garage space - and time (impossible) and some money (less impossible) - I'd like nothing better than to wrench on a Miata just like that.

Very very nice. Sorry you got hit, but glad to know it's soon to be fixed. The engine room looks great - how long/hard a process was it to clean up?

I think I strongly prefer the Sentra. Infact, that Sentra looked pretty mean and sexy.

As I often state, there are quite a few vehicles I'd like (much like Roo), but the Miata is by far one of the more desirable and certainly more realistic cars that I'd really want. I like the slightly newer models a bit better myself, but the MKI models are still awesome.

Very nice car, enjoy it!

lol i love the miata though my uncle's friend owns one and it almost has the worst ride ever is yours like that?

we went from his house to the local restraunt and when i got out i felt like i had been raped by the car.

Drive them both, and you'd never say that again.

I have and I still prefer the Sentra. Infact I used to own a 2dr Sentra coupe (200SX SE-R) and it was one of the more fun cars I've ever owned.

It's called a REAL sports car. Deal with it. Want a good ride? Get a Buick.

oh, Don't complain about ride unless you've ridden in a Ford Model T. No shocks, buggy springs.

Yeah, no kidding. I had to put a new MAF in the Sentra the other day for my mom. Took it around the block afterwords and I felt like I was driving a boat.:dunce:

Just dyno'd the car. It's still sitting there while we fix something with the dyno computer, so we're not done tuning it yet. But so far it has pulled:

210.5whp, 174.8wtq uncorrected at 8.5psi.

Remember this is an internally bone stock 1.6 with 209,000 miles on the bottom end, and 1.8 injectors. Once the computer boots back up, we added another pound of boost and we'll see what happens then.👍

Final numbers:

240.4whp, 214.1wtq @ 11psi uncorrected for altitude, etc.

Corrected should be around ~190whp. I'll post up a graph once it's emailed to me.:)

Final numbers in graph, attached below. Those are the actual numbers at 4586ft altitude. Comparison is:

My car: VoodooII turbo kit. 9psi, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, 1.8 injectors.

Janel: (employees wife) VoodooII turbo kit, 6psi, 2.25" NA exhaust, 1.6 injectors.

 You shoulda said, you wanna go it'll kick your butt.

Theres a really nice hartop miata at my school. He's got a SCCA sticker on the windshield and from the way it looks it looks like he does some Auto-X with it.

congrats on the new ride

got a friend who just recently (this last week) also picked up an FMII turboed miata. loves it so far.

says its like hes got the hand of God pushing him along when he accelerates.

It was some girl. I just said "not this one".:dunce:

Yeah, 260hp in a 2400lb car takes little effort to get it moving quick.:)

Oh. I assumed it'd be a guy saying that. Some ricer tried to piss me off saying I look like a girl cuz I've grown my hair out some. I have yet to see a girl with a goatee driving a Trans Am. They are just jealous of the cars.

Nice numbers you are puttin down! I bet that thing will scoot.
