Here is another painted job from me, using a Wacom Graphics Tablet and Painter IX and Photoshop VIII. Took around 1 hour to finish using water colours and custom brush sets.

Thx franz. 👍 That was nice to start with, and my next 5 ratings put me at 8.5, which is not too bad after 6 ratings. But then someone gave me a 4 :grumpy:, apparently they didnt think it was artistic enough. Oh well, i'm not doing to bad still.:dopey:
I've rated most of the pics so far, except for the last few. I still havent decided on those yet. Some nice entries so far though. Cant wait to see what the poll looks like.

i think we need more people rating and/or everybody rating every picture. it only takes one vote for a bad picture to get a perfect 10 ;)

fallen - imho, you picture might look a little better with more contrast or something to give a more black/white feeling instead of a grey-ish tint?

Use whichever editor that you have and resize your image so that it is a max of 400x300. Upload that image to ImageShack and copy the "Direct link to image" link using the "Insert image" icon at the top of the posting window.
 
How ethical/unethical is it to vote for your own picture. Furthermore, there's no way to determine if you did or not.

So let's leave it at that.

Maybe next round, everyone should rate their own picture a 10, as soon as they post it. That way, everyone could start out with the same rating, and no one could take advantage of that.

Well, its not perfect, but i like the fact that it lets everyone decide the top ten. Not just one person.
 
hey thanks for the comments, the shot seems like it would be at grand valley, but its another one of those lost hard drive finds for me... so its a little old

went through and voted after i read the rules again, i can see how sketchy this system is but at least it forces people into viewing the entire image.
 
I have another to submit. Lots of stupid filters, so I don't like it, but I spent way too much time on it to not submit it. I just don't have the time or motivation to be artistic at the moment.

swissbear - could people also use images shacks "resize to 420 x 320" option? it wouldnt be ideal though since previews could end up being very skewed if resized wrong.
