The site deals with the GT game series as it's main objective/discussion, most of the members here are GT fans anyway.

And I do not see a reason why games-based forums should only be limited to discussing games, you could still have other sub-forums to discuss other things. It makes the forums more attractive to people, just look at the number of members GTP has.

Yes. Everything on GTP doesnt have to deal with GT. Thats what makes this site so great. You can discuss GT, music, games, etc all in one place.

The "World" of GT is many things...

A video game series

Cars, tracks and racing, both real and virtual

Online Racing and drifting...

Settings, tips, hybrids...and the GT list goes on.

And with a community this large (both here and at the other GT forums), we have a diversified group of folks who have many, many interests which include GT.

It's Gran Turismo which has brought us together. All the other stuff is just bonus material.
