Aside for the PS2 version coming up next year

What about PSOne/PSX gamers?

PD would have a larger audience and sales.
This game is the best alternative for those people who can't afford PS2 yet. Some third-world country PSX gamers who are in envy for us (PS2 gamers) for not updating the GT series in their system, which back there a PS2 costs $ 500, PSOne $150 (w/o monitor) and a PSX cost just only $ 10 bucks.

Plus they said the development was a sinch when they develop GT2. So this would be promising to PSX gamers in the future.

What do you think?

I'm not sure that PD would do that. They would almost have to make a whole new game to accomadate for the PSOne's crappy graphics. PD's point-of-view is prolly looking forward with the PS2 and PS3 than lookin backwards to the PSOne. Just my thoughts.

I absolutely guarantee the PSOne has seen its last version of the Gran Turismo series - the game moved far beyond possibly being run on the ol' grey console with GT3.

I would agree on that,
But maybe they would think a bit retro for a while.

And graphics-wise, they screwed up with the graphics in GT2 but when the graphic are like what you saw on GT1, it would be much better.

What do I think people who want another :gt: on PSX should get? Well they should really get a PS2 :computer:

if GT3 didnt make the PSX what makes you think they will make GT4 for the PSX?

Exactly. It's look strange: GT1 - GT2 - GT4. Hang on, where's GT3?

Yeah I forgot about GT3,
But its too late to develop a "GT3" title for PSX.

While psone is not dead yet don't expect GT4 on it

GT4 is barely going to be able to fit on the DVD that PS2 uses, what makes you think it will fit on a 700MB disc?

Man, I can't go back to choppy framerates and whacked out textures.... The only way this would happen is if PD had some interns that they wanted to play a joke on.....

No way man....
itd just be messed...
unless....
they use GT2000 and release it for PSX
cuz GT2000 was a crappy version wasn't it??

GT2000 was GT3 A-spec. GT2000 was first unvieled in september 1999 at the ps2 unveilment. The game was impressive and many expected a launch release. yet the game was delayed for a long time and the year 2000 was coming to a close. Sony changed the name from GT2000 to GT3 A-spec. They are really the same game it was just a name change. however that means that GT2000 can not release on PSone because it was transformed into GT3 which released on the PS2.

GT4 will be playable on the internet (according to PD), so there's really no point in making it for PC.

I think they should make a improved version of GT2:

-No more Glitches
-Less models of the same car
-More current car models
-More tracks
-More time to develop (unlike before, rushing=problems)
-Graphics as smooth as GT1 but with a quality of GT3 (for a PSX)
-Easier menu options

I personaly don't see how they could do it without changing the hole game 4 the psome

imagine ps1 is a real piece of sh** and why would you spend to buy the game on the shi*ty console

well without PS1 there will be no GT, and GTPlanet.

it couldn't be done, unless they used something like 5 disks. GT2 was two disks, and if you want all they're talking about...

What type of head injury do you have to get to even mention PSONE?

How 'bout a sequel to GT2 for PS1 with no direct relation to the upcoming GT4 for PS2. What do you think?

Even though there are more PSone consoles than PS2 consoles, I don't think that P.D would sell more Copies of GT4 on PS1 than on PS2. Simply because a vast majority of PS1 owners now also have PS2 and they, like myself, would not buy a PS1 version of a game like GT4 to save £100! let alone £10 or £15.
