GT4 in PS2 commerical.

Yep, GT4 already in a commerical. Well, a full 1 and half second image of GT4. The commerical is the new price set for the PS2. The price change went to $150. But theres already a thread about it, so I won't go on. But anyway, the image of GT4 is the driver in the prowler. Here is the closest image I got to it.
 
Did you like what you see there, buddy? Hi, by the way. Man. GT4 is going to be seriously polished from past GT titles. I think GT has always seemed to be an innovator in racing titles. I mean, just look at the first GT. Beautiful graphics, many cars, 11 tracks in which 10 of them could be run in reverse. Then GT2 improved on that and got dirty with rally racing a MANY more cars. GT3 just made the series look beautiful and realistic. GT4 will innovate in many more ways than I can describe without the reader having to type the "Page Down" key to see through a long description.

But Darin, I seen a different view of that. One was an in-car view in a convertible with the driver on the right. Then a brief flash featured some rally racing. Now answer me this, CAN you wait for GT4, or do you want the game before anyone else does?
 
I would like it before anyone else ,yes. But the reason why I made this thread is to notify my fellow GTP members. I'm just trying to be a nice guy once and awhile.

But yeah, I just can't wait to see what the GT4 commercials will be like. Maybe around September or October while I'm watching pro or college football, I'll see some GT4 commercials. The GT3 commercials had all of the GT3 graphics, but they stop their cars, get out, do something, then jump back into their cars and race the holy crap out of their race cars. I can only imagine what GT4 would probably be like. Maybe there will be a commercial with New York city traffic, and then "the city that never sleeps" will temporarily sleep as someome brings a Ford GT to rampage the streets of NYC, or maybe some tourists at the Grand Canyon are enjoying the sights of the Grand Canyon until this Subaru Impreza Rally Car zooms by the tour bus at 60, 80 mph. Whatever the case, one cool game is in the making.
 
Speeking of the Ford GT,I recon Kaz is enjoying that new beast he's got.
 
The Ford GT is a nice car, but its a ford, and we all hate ford's. I'd say the new Ford GT is a copy-cat of the old GT40 with a cheap-o Mustang V8.
 
i though he just ordered it and is waiting, i didnt know he has it. i want pics :)

John That would be one sweeeeeeeeeeet commercial, id say the best video game commercial ever, why because I could picture it now... (in the city that never sleep....... will sleep this fall... vrooooooooooooooom (like you said a gt40 goes racing around the streets of time square) man that would be sooo awesome, but anyways yea GT4 is in a PS2 commercial with Metal Gear Solid : Snake Eater awell as some other games... But I belive it was about PS2 Online... (I live here in the states Connecticut as a matter of fact) Im pretty certain it was about PS2 Online and they showed some upcoming games... anyone else see it? (Short description, it starts off in a dark room with light coming out of a "electrical socket type deal" but its really the trianlge squae circle cicle shapes... well anyways cant wait for GT4!

yeah okay. im a chevy guy, but that gt40 isnt any mustang. no car has a cheap-o mustang engine that can stomp a viper.

sheesh. gt40s are bad ass
 
I know this thread isn't about commercials, but I had another strange idea. Check this out.

Let's say that this fight breaks out in a Hong Kong restaurant (a la "Rise to Honor"). This guy, resembling Jet Li is in that place kicking ass while the restaurant is a mess. As this dude is done and finds some thugs who kidnapped his girlfriend, he jumps through the window of the second floor of the restaurant building, into a Honda S2000 droptop at speed. He jump kicks this guy in the head up in the S2000 to steal his car. Then he races off on the streets with the setting sun, and he's hauling a$$ on the streets all when he finds out that... there was a GT4 Race going on. Then he's like, "did I win the race?" Afterwards, he does donuts at the Start/Finish line like he was Alessandro Zanardi (Alex Zanardi), then you see the advertisement for Gran Turismo 4.

How you like THAT idea? I know, it's a weird one.

Hey, that was a funny idea, I thought. I mean, "Rise to Honor' was overkilled in the commercials, so why not poke fun at the thing (expect a thread about GT4 Commercials very soon!). Cough syrup? No, I'm drunk off of Royal Crown. I said "Royal Crown" (as in the soft drink, not the booze with the words transposed). Anyhow, may we see several more commercials based on GT4, because obviously we're nuts for GT4. And why not?
 
I belive that if GT4 is already in commercials, they'll proably be in alot more or for that matter there own commercials, well anyways I didn like that Idea too much but I hope they make some real good ones though, Like some guy goes into the pitstop, and the pit crew starts work on his car and the guy talks on his cell phone.. baby I love you but I have to go, then he races off lol I dunno sounds stupid but oh well...
 
Just curious... why didn't Kazunori get a Ford GT in the classic Gulf colors, like the Le Mans car of the 1960s? He's going to have one in the game, you know!
 
If there going to have commercials I hope they have multiple ones, this way that could showcase some nice classic cars/ muscle cars, and the new models/ concept cars, now that would be pretty cool, and since GT4 will be the "Big" game on the PS2 I hope they have alot of commercials variety for that matter this way they could really get it out there..

Why would they want to advertise GT4? it's quite clear that everyone who ahs a PS2 is going to buy it.

I had recorded that commercial during last night's, or this early morning's, broadcast recording of the Conan O'Brian Show on my h-d PVR. On the sleeve of the race car driver had what appeared to be a name above "Poloyphony". Perhaps we can pick a name for ourself and it will appear on our sleeves.

Secondly, I noticed on the side of the Mitsubishi Lancer Rally Race Car the trade mark name "Monte Carlo." I didn't think Sony or PD could use this, even as a sticker on a car, without permission? Does this mean NO MORE COTE D'AZUR? Do we fianlly get "Monte Carlo"? Remember, PD couldn't use "Daytona" for the 64 Cobra Coupe Race Car in GT2, so maybe MC is in.
 
I'm pretty sure it means the Monte Carlo rally, if you're talking a rally car. I think Monte Carlo is a beautiful city to gaze at, but a bastard to race on. So if you ask me, Monte Carlo is in the house for GT4.
 
Zonda? Just hope there isn't an "Italian Avantgarde" with five Zonda Race Car drivers racing like thugs. And by the way, good luck trying to win online with foul play. CobraGT vs. Code_kev would still be a good battle. Maye it can be a 5 or 7 or 10 race series. Can CobraGT be disowned from Code? Can Code deny any disown attempts?

Just remember, if you lose, you'll end up like the poor sap in this thread.
