I cant help it

Yes, you can.

Persistant
and Im not going to cater myself to every demand of other members,

It was a request - quite a polite one. And you've now attracted moderator attention for your quite hostile response.

On the upside, that means you won't HAVE to "cater" yourself to anything at all.

All I want you to do is return to being that friendly helper. That is all. It's a very simple request.

If you can not comply with that request, then you shall have to deal with the consequences.

The only person here that needs to "grow up" is you. You are acting in a very immature manner and you need to calm down and regain your composure that you originally had.

You may not have to cater to every demand of other members, but you sure do have to cater to my demands, and as of this moment, the only demand that I make of you is to return to being a friendly helper. :)

Thank you.

NO, IT ISN'T.

You did read that bit the moderator typed, didn't you?

I care what he thinks. Solid Lifters is a well respected memeber of this community, and I do agree with him that you using all capital letters in your posts are annoying.

So what you need to do right now is relax, and calm yourself down. Post and type in a clean and coherent manner.

Otherwise, Famines friendly hint #1, will become a reality quicker than you think.

(You really cant see your text is purple?????)

Im going to another thread, I got better things to do then thread jack someone who needs some help.

Dude, Hope things work out, and you can Kill GT4 24/7

Peace!

My PSTwo works perfect with GT4. The longest time was 6 hours straight let it cool down for an hour and turn it on. (note: lift your PSTwo with small object so that heat does not build up underneath it on a table it makes a big difference.)

Yea everyone thinks now that the new PStwo is smaller and doesnt have as much stuff on its going to be better but remember it doesnt have the fan no more so after 45 misn of playing you have to turn your PStwo off cause it becomes over heated but not with the bigger ones it has the fan to cool it down

DEAR GOD ALMIGHTY. How many times do I have to say this? THE SLIM PS2 HAS A FAN. It is an INTERNAL fan; you can't see it, but it is there. Honestly guys... I don't understand why some of you have such difficulty understanding this.

The slim PS2 has the same hardware that the PS2 does. You can't take the same hardware, put it in a case that's half the size or less of the old one, REMOVE THE COOLING FAN and still have it operate reliably. Furthermore, you can FEEL the air coming out of the back of the unit from an internal fan. The fact that you can't see or hear the fan doesn't mean that it's not there. It just means that you can't see or hear it.

You're going all capital now...

Don't forget that there's also a heatsink (the thin black metallic strip) and that the major heat radiating component (the PSU) has been removed.

Persistant
AND I CAN CAP WHEN I WANT TO, WHO THE HELL CARES WHAT YOU THINK.

Sure, you can do it when you want to... but you can't do it here no more! :dunce: Why?

You've been Banninated!

By the way, that's purple. Famine uses indigo.

Yes well its been a while since I had to repeat myself eleventybillion times in the same thread... I forgot how frustrating it is.

As for the heatsink and the PS, you're entirely correct... although I suspect the heatsink on the CPU in the PS2 has fins on it :)

I ahve an PSTWo and have no problems whatsoever.
Also the PSTwo's get checked three times in the factory, so it isnt a faulty PSTwo, you are just handling it badly.

Thats what they say, you can't really prove that its true, and you really can't trust a large company like Sony.

my ps2 is 5 years old now it plays gt4 fine. i play gt4 about 6 hours aday on wekends about 10. its on most nights and left when going to school. my ps2 is very old and it sometimes says disk read error and when i switch it on it doesnt load gt4 strait away i have to click on browser wait ten minutes and then click on the disk.

My ps2 has been on constantly since November 2004 running gt3 and now gt4, with no probs at all. Just clean it regularly, dust loves to kill electronic stuff.

nice one havent see that before...

overall it seems that slim PSTWO overheats much quicker then first version, THE same thing happend to me but with GT3.... my ps2 is now clogged with dust and still runs sweetly. (ill cry when it evenually goes)

I have four PS2s - three PS2s and one PSTwo. The PSTwo played the NTSC/J version of GT4 for two months with no ill-effects at all.

nutter!!!!!!

AL80 - There's a little white cog at the back of the PS2 when it's open and the top of the disc tray is removed. Place a mark on it so you know the original position. Turn it 1/8th clockwise. Then plug it in and drop GT4 in it - while it's still open (so be careful not to look into the lens). If it works, try other silver and blue-bottom discs, and if they all work, seal it up. If they don't, turn the wheel another 1/8th and try again. If it gets all the way round, you're screwed...

I'm fairly local to you, so feel free to drop me a PM if you get any trouble.

LOCAL???? thats a good 150miles away (approximatly)

Not really.

I put my home location, not my actual location.
