I was thinking of doing a Lap time compotion on this post. I don't know if any of you are intrested but its limited rules are:

> All cars entering must have under "295hp" (Home hp Reading)
> Any modifications allowed aslong as they do not exceed the horsies limit.
> FR or MR Drive type only.
> Mid-Field Race way.
> Fastest times for 1 lap,You must start on the grid (stationary with count of 3).
> List parts but not settings, If you want to keep them secret.
> No Credits budget.
> Traction control system and Anti spin mechanism is not allowed

Let me know if ur intrested ill be doing it. Good luck.

I think this would be fun on GT4 becouse there are so many cars
with 295HP or less,so if you think it sounds fun than post!:)

The best way to do a lap is go to practice, stop at the line and start from there.
Do a lap and wright down the time, this way you can get lap times as long as you want.
(Thanks DaddyGary for the idea:).)

I think you'd have better luck in the OLR forum 👍

i love how this sounds... but why do we have to start on the grid :( can't we just go time trial?

Arcade Time Trial or just GT mode practice. I don't want to have to line up on the grid everytime I want to do laps.
I like doing sets of laps at a time.

Yes a set of laps wood be easyer, but it makes you do good on the 1 lap.

Hey AngelCreator,

I would like to place a time for the Nissan 240ZG(HS30)'71.
Is there a time limit to do so? I'm just a new member here and I didn't see
a time limit or anything on your post. I'll try to post my time in a couple of
days. 👍

so we can use any car (FR and MR) as long as it has below 295hp?

@DaddyGary
No, there is no time limit it is just for fun.

@jamaican
Yes,any car as long it's FR or MR and less than 295HP.

AngelCreator,

The time of 1:15.189 with the Nissan 240 ZG(HS30)'71 was on the 2nd lap.:) On the 1st lap, I had the time of 1:16.418.:) I wasn't aware that we
should put our 1st lap time, and the best lap time as well. So, I just posted
the best time out of the 2 laps completed.👍
Should I go ahead and tell the 1st lap time I had with the Mini Cooper. Or
where you only asking about the times of the 240 ZG?:)

I also have a time with the Chevrolet SSR'03 with 294 Hp, standard exhaust, Racing Tire: Front (R5) Rear (R5), Racing Breaks, Break Controller
Equip., Racing Suspinsion, Full Customized Transmission, Clutch Triple-Plate,
Racing Flywheel, Carbon Driveshift, Downforce Wing, Limited-Slip Full Customized, Stage3 Stiffness. Best lap time: 1:21.952:tdown: Of course the
truck was heavier than the cars, but I like to drive it anyway.👍

BTW, there is no reason you should be :scared: because, I started learning
this track on GT1, so I've certainly had a little practice on it, no doubt.:guilty: This doesn't mean that I've always been that good at setting
up the cars, but, GT4 just seems to be a little easier than 1, 2, and 3. Or I
finally must be getting the hang of it one.:)

Yes,the 1st lap time is the one you want because it makes you have
to do good on th 1st lap.

And it has to be a stationary start when you go for a lap time.

AngelCreator,
After going back and reviewing the post's here on
your thread, I've realized that I've probably posted
the wrong times, before now.:guilty: I would like to
apologize for my mistake, Okay?:guilty:
I think:idea: the reason that I made this stupid
mistake is because of the post that you made stating
that you went to the Origanal tracks, then clicked on
Family Circuit, that you could set the difficulty and
lasted 2 laps. Well, no doubt, it was my bad,
because I just didn't take the time to study the rules
like I should have.:grumpy: It certainly should have
dawned on me that I was making this mistake when
I read your reply and question about, how did you
get that time of 1:15.189 with the Nissan 240 ZG?:dunce: What I done was, after reading the post
of going to origanal tracks and clicking on family
circuits and it lasting 2 laps, I had a bad case of CRS,
I think.:) I know that I wrote down your rules after
I first came to your thread and challenge, but, I made
the mistake of posting my best time of the 2 laps, instead of posting the 1st lap time, which I apoligize
again.👍
I would like to re-run my entries, and post my correct times, now sense I've realized what I've done,
Okay?:dunce: Oh, and I certainly want to make sure
that I didn't mean to sound like I'm one of the best
tuner's of the GT games:guilty: when I replied to
your post, don't feel bad about my time of 1:15.189
with the 240ZG. That I've been running the Midfield
track sence the GT1 game came out. I've certainly got alot more to learn about setting up the
cars, no doubt.👍 This is one reason why I joined
GTPlanet, to learn more about how to, and what I
should do, when it comes to setting up the cars to
make the times posted by the people that has the
better knowledge of setting their cars.:) I guess my
point is, that I certainly didn't want to sound like I'm
one of the best ever, when it comes to tuning, know
what I mean? Or that I'm any better at tuning
the cars than you or anybody else that has posted
or will post their times on this thread, Okay?
Now, that said, I will go back and re-run my times
like I said earlier, and post the correct 1 lap time
with the vehicles I've already posted times with and
probably a few other times as well.👍 Because, I've
found that the MG TF60'03' with the hp of 263, to
have a pretty good lap time as well.👍 Be back
with my correct lap times later on this up coming
weekend.:)

It's ok:) ,i was just scared when you posted the times and i was thinking
i was slow.:( But now that you said that,i say you go and do the best lap
times you can and i will be waiting for your times.:)GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey AngelCreator,

I know that you would like for the family cup track
to be the track to run your challenge. But, I've found
a little problem about doing it that way. Okay, If you
run it on the family cup track, you will always start
6th in the field. Then after the start, it usually takes
4 to 5 seconds before you cross the start line, and
your time has already started before you get to the starting line.:grumpy:
So, from the time you start you've
already added those seconds to your total time of
your lap. And it seems like you always have to slow
down and wait on one of the computer cars going
into turn 1. So, that to me adds more seconds to
your best time.:grumpy: So, I was trying a car for
the challenge and I took it to the practice track and
found out that after you get started and test the '
settings, you can stop in one of the starting blocks
just before crossing the start line, do your own count
down and your time doesn't start until you cross the
start line. And running it this way, there isn't any
traffic in front of you that you have to slow down
for, so you get a better lap time.👍 Now, what
I do is after making the lap and the time of the
lap appears, I pause the run and get the time that
I ran for the lap. Doing it this way, still lets you
start from a dead stop.👍 And you can run the
lap and have a better lap time, also.:) I would like
your thought on this, and see if you agree that
everyone would benifit from running it that way or
not. Because, it's really hard getting a good time
when you have to slow down and wait on the
computer cars, before getting a place to pass and trying to make up the lost time all this has taken.:grumpy:

I'm glad that you understand about my mistake on
the other times that I posted.:)
Well, I'm still working on the times for the cars that
I posted before.👍 But, after finding out this,💡
I wanted to send you this message to let you know, and to see that you get a better total lap time by
running the lap all by yourself.👍 I'll check back
later to see your comment.:)

I like that idea and what you say about passing the cars is true.
So yes,i will do a update at my 1st post. And thanks for the input.:)

Hi AngelCreator,

Glad to help, no doubt.:) After I experimented with
the thought, I realized that it would be a hole lot better making a time lap without any other cars on the track.👍 So, the next times that I post will be
the new way, if that's alright?:)

Yes,that's alright. It's alot easyer to get a lap time the way you said.
The way i do it is stop at the 1st place starting line and go from there.

If I understand your challenge, I ran 1'11.102 in the Suzuki GSX-R/4

The car has EVERYTHING available including Rollcage and Body renewal Program. It makes 273hp and weighs 582 kg.

Here's the procedure as I uderstand it:

Start the session in GT mode>Original Tracks>Mid-Field Normal

Roll around to the grid and stop. (I stop at position "1")

Stand for a count of three, Rev it up and dump the brake

go like h#$% for a lap

Use the running lap as a "Cool Down", come 'round and stop on grid again.

I hope this isn't redundant or over stating the obvious but I just wanted to clarify the method. Please let me know if this is what you had intended.

Thanks:)👍

Ye daddy-o thats how i've been doing it, nice time dude, thats one hell of a light car you got there lol, im gonna go win it then i'll see if I can beat your time :)

Everyone should give this little Suzuki a try, eh?
