no disrespect, but the people trying on this site can't model as well as the GT creators.

this looks more like something, if released, being a PC title.

well the modlers of this site arent as old or as skillfull as GT3 Creators ofcores, one of the best modlers in the R.A.C.E.R Simulator is only 14...

i was at Dave and Busters (arcade/eatery). they have a Ferari Arcade game with three options. Automatic Gearbox (for infants and the elderly), paddle shifters (for beginners), and stick shift with clutch (great simulation).

it was loads of fun. too bad D and B rip you off with their non-whole number credit fees. you purchase a certain number of credits to play the games. all the games, however, are 5.9 credits or 6.2 or 6.7. they jerk you around with the decimals, and u end up spending more.

Hey guys they do make a pedal set with clucth but F1 shift. I'll give you price and website. There is a little article in the Rally XS mag. The name of the article is Pedal For Your Life.

The name of the set is Speed7
It is formatted for PC PS2 and X Box
The price is 265 euros or francs for the 2 pedal 295 for the 3 pedal set inc VAT. It is on sale now. The website is www.interactiveracing.com.
Every thing is adjustable. Just letting you know.

Man, speed7 pedals are the dogs bollocks :)

I think ACT-Labs make a cheaper alternative, and a h-shifter...

GPL cars shift without the clutch because they have no synchro mesh. You dont have to double clutch a supra, in fact, you can shift regular cars without clutching at all (or pull it out of gear, then clutch in and shift into the next). Of course, there is greater risk of damage to the gearbox

Double clutching is slow :)

Most race cars DO have clutches, but youre only thinking of the expensive ones. Oh, and WRC cars have clutches too (cept those running auto boxes). F1 cars have clutches, but it just for launching, and keeping the engine alive when you stack it. Otherwise the clutch is handled automatically.

Most race cars "speed shift", which is sans clutch...but its still there :)

Oh, and that car above is stecki's 350z. Although for some strange reason, the one in that pic is on the rims from his celica TRD.

Stecki's models are GT3 quality (over, in fact), but racer just isnt very graphically pleasing yet. Its still a fair way off GT3, although the tracks are cars are getting there.

a lot of new lads on the seen anyway I think that this extra clutch business would be good but only for a steering wheel and I reckon its gonna cost about an extra 30 quid

THERE SHOULD BE an option for a clutch..You should be able to turn it on or off.Not a bad idea huh?!. :smilewink

That would be Ferrari 355 Challenge, which has just been released for the PS2 (although obviously without clutch) - I tend to use the paddles.

exactly. only the hardcore (or people who beat the game and are bored) would want to do this. not enough people for a company to justify producing a wheel like this.

but if your that hardcore, that u think u need a clutch, talk to that german guy on these forums. unfortunately i cant remember his name. werner or wernkles or something. he seems like a nice dude, who wouldnt mind helping u out.

he has created his own shift nobs and things like that. he might have a website, if i recall correctly.

I am one of those hardcore people. I would LOVE to see a clutch feature in GT4. You people who claim it's too much work..DON'T USE IT!

I think it is a good idea if a few aspects are considered.. :smilewink

If it takes longer to change gear then your at a disadvantage right? :car::gcar:

To make it fair the AI would virtually have to use a clutch too? :D I imagine 💡 this is easily possible as they can just extend time :clock: between their gear changes..:teleport:

If this could be accomplished then it can only increase the Realism of the racing simulator :gt:? :smilewink

there should be a clutch, it would be the best if there were steering wheel pedals with clutch too, damn that would be SO awesome wit gt4

That's retarded..they will never have a clutch and it would be pointless to have one, unless the clutch pedle was it's own device and could easily be replaced, because constant pashing of a little video game dvice is going to cause it to break, not to mention the fact that people are going to be drifting....I wouldn't mind the fact that clutch WEAR is a problem in the GAME, but not a real clutch..I can't tell you how many Ferrari355 challenge game's i've played where the clutch was broken, same for wangan midnight an initial D Ver. 2
